Keep Surprisingly for an unelected congressional candidate, Crowley has gotten coverage from national sources including the Huffington Post. I will work on the article and try to make his notability clearer. --MelanieN (talk) 01:03, 20 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I expanded the article and added several references. He is mostly notable as the first homeless person to run for Congress on a major party ticket. --MelanieN (talk) 01:36, 20 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Weak delete - I suppose my query would be whether his nomination for Congress would be a matter of WP:BLP1E. I mean, what else is he notable for, except for that nomination? Of course if he is elected he would pass WP:POLITICIAN but assuming that he will be would be a matter of WP:CRYSTAL, so... on balance, weak delete. Stalwart111(talk)03:51, 5 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Keep: Even if he doesn't get elected, his nomination has been notable enough to get media attention, so I think an entry in the encyclopedia is justified. As the election draws nearer, I would expect there to be increased covered of him, which would hopefully include some more biographical information. I'd be open to revisit this issue after the election though. —Zujine|talk06:41, 5 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Weak delete: looks to risk the fate of other single event / WP:NOTNEWS types of candidates. There's a lot of novelty in a homeless guy running for congress and it would pick up coverage for a few weeks. I'm not persuaded it would go beyond this. Not everything mentioned in the news is actually suitable for Wikipedia, because our articles need to cover something's legacy beyond what you might find in the brief bursts of media fascination.
