(not a !vote) Not really a disambig page. It is an euphemism used by some to describe some battles, not really mane them. Similarly, Idiot (disambiguation) does not list Donald Trump, although not an uncommon reference.

• Merge entries to Snowclone#The Mother of All X per my reasoning at Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Disambiguation#Mother_of_all_battles to preserve the links at the target. User:RileyBugz yes I think that's the counterargument, as this dab doesn't conform to our usual format WP:MOSDAB but is useful and used. If the links were at the target, that would IMHO work better as it contextualises the fact that 1500 years worth of battles may be referred to with the quote "Mother of all battles", and it's more Wikiquote and Wiktionary than WP. • 'Keep or redirect to Snowclone#The Mother of All X I guess, or some other outcome which is helpful to the reader. I mean it seems to me like this: The user types in the string "mother of all battles". Presumably the reader wants some information. So how should we handle this request for information? Well...

• We can take her to this page, where she can then maybe drill down further to get to where she maybe wants to go.
• Or we could take her somewhere else. Gulf War, maybe (perhaps that is the primary topic for the string) or perhaps to Snowclone#The Mother of All X if that seems better (although the person did include "battles" specifically) or some other place that is helpful to the reader.
• Or we could delete this page as suggested, and leave her in the dark. Perhaps we could replace the page with a notice "Yes, we have this info, but we don't feel like taking you to it, so you're shit out of luck. But good luck with your Google search!". We could do that.

• Redirect to Gulf War, which seems to be by far the most common use of this phrase. A merge of info and redirect to Snowclone#The Mother of All X wouldn't be terrible but it seems wrong to list all instances of all variants of "Mother of all..." in the same subsection of the Snowclone article (this could produce a very unbalanced article once you add Mother of all Bombs, etc); maybe a separate article on "Mother of all X" could be justified. --Colapeninsula (talk) 15:24, 28 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Used in English, and WP:RECENTly, but that popularity is surely more snowclone. Used before that for 1500years, and we have no good way of including these items on a dab (quotes on dabs seem to fall between the crack of WP, Wikt, and WQuote). Widefox; talk 12:58, 1 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
