This is an odd article. Some of it seems to be on the term Punti/本地/Boon Dei, content better suited for Wiktionary. Some of it is on the people but it is unclear if the people described are any different from Cantonese people (see its lead). the history section is anecdotal and unsourced, so does not really clarify this.
