Rouxinol Faduncho is a character portrayed by one of the most famous mainstream comedians of Portugal and is a satire on modern Portuguese culture mixed with older culture, of which fado is an important part. Wikipedia has an article about every single American football player in existence, I think it can afford to have one about Rouxinol.--Midasminus (talk) 21:28, 6 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Comment. I was able to find a number of sources about the character. at http:// www. observatorio*do*algarve.com/cna/noticias_ver.asp?noticia=41737, more at [1][2]. (Remove *'s to access. Malfunctioning spam filter.) At least the first looks like it might be substantial coverage in a reliable source. My suggestion would be to make an article about the actor who portrays this character before making one about the character itself. Comment. Articles for the character and the actor/musician portraying him exist in Portuguese WP. Both of them have potential, but need building up in the descriptive portions, explaining the actor and the characters in greater depth and, especially, providing sources. To take Smerdis' suggestion a step further, my preferred outcome would be:

- In Portuguese WP, the Rouxinol Faduncho article is merged as a section within the actor's article.

- A redirect for "Rouxinol Faduncho" is created to point to the new section.

- The merged article is built up and references added that evidence notability.

- A translated copy of the merged article is created in English WP.

- Ideally, all of this is completed in the next few days, so that this AfD is rendered moot. :)

Keep. Being a Portuguese artist he is at disadvantage in here, still, clearly notable by WP standards. It is not really a fictional character, It is an heteronym, an alter ego of Marco Horácio. Marco Horácio himself is a well known comedian - stand up, theatre, TV. Rouxinol Faduncho is his singing persona, and by far his best known act. I agree that one article is probably enough, with the other redirecting to it. (but I doubt a AfD in English language WP should neither be making recommendations to the Portuguese language WP, nor should the outcome of a local AfD discussion depend on actions taken there) Tough call, as right now Rouxinol Faduncho is probably best know than Marco Horácio, in the long run it is likely to be the opposite, but who knows...
