Anthology of short stories. Yes, the author won a Nobel Prize in Literature. No, that doesn't mean each of her works is notable (see also WP:NBOOK). Arguably, many of her short stories are notable and we probably need articles on more than we have, but anthologies are just containers, and per Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/No Love Lost (book) (an AfD for another anthology of hers that ended up as a redirect), unless we can show that this anthology received coverage as a whole, related to the process of selection of the stories contained in it, it probably should be just a redirect, rather than (as currently), an unreferenced catalogue entry. (Note that regardless of the outcome of this AfD, I'll nominate Selected Stories for discussion here in a few weeks, unless it us improved by then). PS. Note that this collection just reprints stories published before. • Delete. This was created (by me) at a time (2005) when Wikipedia did tend toward the "any book published by a notable writer needs an article for directory purposes regardless of the book's standalone notability or lack thereof" approach — but we've long since tightened up on that approach, and now while the writer's article can obviously still list all books that writer released (even "best of" compilations), the book only gets its own standalone article if it can be shown to have a meaningful notability claim, and the WP:GNG-worthy coverage to support it, as its own independent topic. So this was a good faith creation under the standards that applied in 2005, but it just can't be brought up to the standards that apply in 2022. Virtually all of Munro's regular short story collections clearly pass the bar, but her "best of" compilations don't and there's little reason to expect that they would — "best of" compilations can generally claim neither noteworthy literary awards nor substantial critical analysis. • Keep. Literacy is in short supply here. This book is not an anthology, but a single author collection. There is nothing in policy or guideline saying that a retrospective collection of an author's work carries inferior notability. Despite what several voters here state/endorse, NOTINHERITED says plainly and clearly that it does not apply between authors and their work. Nobody hear shows any sign of having to assess the book's actual coverage, reviews, etc. That of course requires work, not simply beating one's own uninformed standards.
