Nominator's rationale: Eponymous category for a film director without the volume of spinoff content needed to warrant an eponymous category. The only things here are his biographical article and his Films directed by category; I've also already removed, on WP:PERFCAT grounds, two articles about films in which he merely had minor supporting acting roles -- but as films are not catted for actors who appeared in them, that isn't grounds for a category at all. We would need more than this to warrant an eponymous category here, such as notable books about him, notable documentary or biographical films about him, and on and so forth. The edit summary states '"Contemporary issues" is too squishy of a category, and it only had 1 page.'   • In response to Nurg's concerns, I note that in Category:Mayors of districts in New Zealand, two categories contain "district" and the others, i.e. the majority, don't. Schwede66 20:49, 27 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
    True. But what about current reliable sources? From a quick look, most seemed to be mayor of "Grey District", a minority of "Greymouth" and only a small percentage of just "Grey". Nurg (talk) 21:33, 27 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
