Nominator's rationale: Category:2028 Summer Olympics sidebar templates is unique among subcategories of Category:Summer Olympics by year event sidebar templates in that it is missing the word "event" in its name. And we don't have a need for generic categories which aren't specific to event sidebars – 2028 category is the only "<year> Summer Olympics sidebar templates" category – see the automatically generated navbox which only links to 2028.
