The old account has approx. 6,500 edits. The new one has approx. 1,700 edits (that's the one I'm posting from now). The reason I ask is because Wikipedia:Requests for administrator attention says this is the place to "Reassign edits or make name changes." Maybe that's a remnant from the distant past (when IP edits could be reassigned to a user name).
