How is this box-set cover different from any poster or cover on Wikipedia - every film, video game, book etc has a main identifying image; that's what this is. I'm at a loss as to how or why this image differs from the tens of thousands of others. You say it's not critical to the understanding of the subject of the article - well, how is any cover image critical to understanding? So are we going to remove every cover image on Wikipedia? The article is about the Shakespeare Collection. This is the cover of the Shakespeare Collection. • Keep The precedent has been set with the hundreds of articles where DVD cover art is used to illustrate individual seasons. In this specific case it also gives a reader an idea of the scope of the BBC's project to record all of WS's plays. The glimpse of a few of the actors who were cast is a bonus. BTW no 8 does not state that the pic used be "critical" to understand the subject - it does mention "its omission would be detrimental to that understanding" and IMO that would be the case here. In particular, the nom's paraphrasing overstates WP:NFCCP #8: the criterion is its presence would significantly increase readers' understanding of the article topic, and its omission would be detrimental to that understanding. not that it is critical to the understanding of the subject of the article. But even if the criterium had been "critical to understanding", no other image would convey the same understanding to the reader. It was a massive (massive) undertaking, exists now primarily as a DVD collection, is known for involving many famous Shakespearean actors, and its production by the BBC is significant for several reasons (legitimacy, for one).
