I previously PRODded the sample when it was used in only If Not for You (album). Then it was de-PRODded and added in If Not for You. In the song article, I moved the sample from "Composition" section to the "Olivia Newton-John version" one. I also replaced the previous revision with the newer, more inferior one. However, my concerns about the sample meeting WP:NFCC#8 hasn't been eased yet. Maybe it belongs in the song article, or maybe not. However, I think it should be taken out of the article about one of Newton-John's albums. George Ho (talk) 21:33, 28 October 2021 (UTC)

I uploaded samples of Bob Dylan and of George Harrison versions of If Not for You, so I would list them for discussion regarding their compliance with WP:NFCC#8 and/or WP:NFCC#3a. Actually, I was hesitant to upload them until I saw the Newton-John version de-PRODded, also listed separately in FFD, and then added in the song article. Almost forgot: no objections to deleting them both if they fail the NFCC. George Ho (talk) 02:21, 1 November 2021 (UTC)

Currently used in Ramones and Sheena Is a Punk Rocker. Unsure whether the sample is supported by critical commentary in each article and complies with WP:NFCC#8. Default to deciding for now that it does not. George Ho (talk) 23:54, 28 October 2021 (UTC)
Almost forgot: the sample exceeds 10 percent of the recording, going against MOS:SAMPLE and WP:NFCC#3b. But even trimming down the sample wouldn't help the sample comply with the other criterion. --George Ho (talk) 00:02, 29 October 2021 (UTC)

Currently used in Bonzo Goes to Bitburg and Ramones. Default to deciding for now that, since I'm uncertain, the sample neither is supported by critical commentary in each article nor meets WP:NFCC#8. George Ho (talk) 23:54, 28 October 2021 (UTC)
Almost forgot: the sample is six or seven seconds longer than what MOS:SAMPLE usually wants a sample to cover. But even trimming down the sample wouldn't overcome its potential failure with the "contextual significance" criterion. George Ho (talk) 00:02, 29 October 2021 (UTC)
