After fixing an article should i remove the message saying it needs to be fixed? ChromiumOverload (Talk 📨) 02:00, 9 January 2022 (UTC)
When I replaced the expression "county court" with "County Court" here (use this exact version!) via the editor's "Search and replace" option, it said that 13 replacements were made, although in fact only 3.5 (!) replacements were made. How come?--Hildeoc (talk) 02:04, 9 January 2022 (UTC)
There is a category of articles in the encyclopaedia in the general form [Year] in [country], for example 2022 in Ireland.
All kinds of random trivial junk can wind up in these list articles with no apparent rules documented or any style guide discoverable to describe how these articles should be maintained and what constitutes a sufficiently notable event to qualify for entry in such lists.
In the example mentioned, 2022 in Ireland, already this year we have a story of some non-notable people being injured in a car accident, and another story documenting the drowning of a non-notable somebody in a banal swimming accident.
Clearly, this hypergranular, parochial, and historically insignificant level of detail is not what articles under the encyclopaedia category of History should be about.
My question is, where is the project page or discussion page or manual of style or any venue whatsoever where this sort of thing can be discussed? I have been unable to find any venue within the encyclopedia where such concerns, or other concerns or guidelines regarding such articles, can be explored or discussed. Thank you. As some articles are very comprehensive, how do I search for the terms I'm interested in? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.13.128.91 (talk) 03:29, 9 January 2022 (UTC)
