Batey is a well known and respected scholar in New Testament studies, having authored numerous books (see http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=Richard+A.+Batey&x=0&y=0 ) including Jesus and the Forgotten City : New Light on Sepphoris and the Urban World of Jesus (2000). Heretofore the use of a redirect was an acceptable compromise between an article and no mention whatever.
