Unnecessary disambiguation: there is only one Ghazala Khan, and the title already redirects to the correct article. — JFG talk 20:23, 26 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Oops, sorry, I just noticed we have Honour killing of Ghazala Khan, so the redirect is useful. I'll go add another one for Ghazala Khan (Dutch). — JFG talk 20:29, 26 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Luigi’s Mansion

The result of the discussion was delete. --BDD (talk) 15:39, 6 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

What we have here is some who created a redirect from the title using a single quotation mark to the title using an apostrophe. Now I have an IP over at AFC/R wanting to create redirects from single quotation marks for a variety of titles, even though (as far as I'm aware) it isn't even possible to type a single quotation mark on a standard keyboard. Not a likely search term, let's get rid of the precedent. Compassionate727 (T·C) 13:34, 17 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Interqwark: It looks like it is, but it isn't, and if you type a curly apostrophe into the search bar, MediaWiki processes it as an apostrophe: the only way to get to the title I nominated for deletion is by copying and pasting (or using keys) to generate a single quotation mark character. Compassionate727 (T·C) 04:42, 23 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Relisted to generate a more thorough discussion and clearer consensus.
Relisting comment: I'd just like to note that the first IP (51.253.34.45, not our 59 regular) has been blocked as a sock evading a block, and put forth a number of Luigi Mansion redirects at WP:AFC/R

As a rule we redirect from article names with simple characters to their specialised counterparts (apostrophe -> grave accent, hyphen -> endash, etc.), not the other way around. --pmj (talk) 01:08, 2 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
There are plenty of instances of the exact opposite (but see also WP:OTHERSTUFF) - what matters is not the complexity of the characters, nor Wikipedia's in-house style, but whether this is a useful search term. It is demonstrated above that it is a useful search term. Thryduulf (talk) 13:55, 6 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Midquel, Interquel, Sidequel, Paraquel

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was Delete Midquel, Interquel and Paraquel. There is consensus that Sidequel is a useful redirect but no consensus about whether it should be kept as is or retargeted, the default in this situation is keep, which is what I've gone for here, but this is without prejudice to retargetting. Thryduulf (talk) 13:59, 6 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Was previously discussed for: Neologism which is unreferenced in dictionaries. Result was Keep, but since then, the unsourced paragraphs have been first cut short in Nov-2015 and then dropped in Aug-2017. Which means that neither of these terms is mentioned/explained in the target article. )) Enyavar (talk) 13:05, 30 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Appearing in Wiktionary isn't a good reason for it to be kept. They should spin out to soft redirects to Wiktionary then, not go to sequel where it is not discussed. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 00:25, 19 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Note that the terms were removed from the same article you now suggest inserting them into. The statistics suggest that they were heavily looked up here, but only in 2016 (Midquel from Dec-15 to Dec-16 and Interquel from Nov-15 to Feb-17. I believe these two terms to be buzzwords that quickly faded away; although they do have an article at TV tropes. Paraquel gets cinsiderably less than 10 hits per month and is not even listed at TVt; Sidequel is the only one that is consistently searched here more than 100 times per month. This last one was suggested to be re-redirected to Spinoff, and I agree. So, only delete the other 3, I guess? --Enyavar (talk) 17:30, 21 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Relisting comment: I read this as leaning delete (except for sidequel), especially given the arguments for keep in the previous RfD, but let's give it one more relist.

Person not mentioned at target (which lists only actors with articles) nor anywhere else in Wikipedia, and I can't find any WP:RS in order to expand it into an article. The base title Kean Rabuyo was deleted three times in 2015 and got WP:SALTed in the end. 59.149.124.29 (talk) 09:31, 26 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

No mention of the term in the target article: is it the set of beliefs of the Sabians? If so, please add this to the article, sourced. At present, no indication that it is a useful redirect. PamD 21:46, 18 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

But not really useful to the reader unless someone adds a mention of the term into the article to show that this is what it means, rather than leave them guessing//assuming. PamD 22:08, 23 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

County Road 344A (CR 344A) doesn't exist. It is a typo on the Florida Department of Transportation's Gilchrist County map for a road that is actually signed as CR 334A. Morriswa (Charlotte Allison) (talk) 00:01, 26 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
