71.139.23.95[edit]

It was brought to my attention that this user's IP address is in the same range as all of Griot's previous sock puppets and has been editing all the same pages that he used to, especially the one on Ralph Nader.

71.139.24.255[edit]

User Griot is blocked indefinitely for sockpuppetry. In the following post, he uses an IP to post a request for another editor to edit his user page (which the other editor, Calton, does).

no Declined - I'm not seeing much justification for a RFCU case here, given the quantity of edits involved - Alison 22:56, 25 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

71.139.36.105[edit]

Ralph Nader (October 17, 2007)

3RR evasion using sock puppet:

Ralph Nader August 27-28, 2007

as 71.139.7.89 extensive edit warring using sock puppets

Ralph Nader's Presidential Campaigns

Ralph Nader October 2007

November 2007

User Griot was recently found to be using a sock puppet ( Sedlam) to edit war on Ralph Nader related articles. He was blocked indefinitely, but it was reset to one week with the explanation "an indef seemed disproportionate given the offence and your editing history prior to this incident." This Checkuser Request is to establish that Griot has been edit warring on the above noted articles for a very long time. The examples listed above are from from a complete list of all the insyances of sock puppetry by this user. Boodlesthecat (talk) 21:50, 10 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Additional evidence

Griot claims authorship of the article Eric Nord. A look at the history of that article shows it to have been begun by IP 71.139.53.242, which like the above IP's used by Griot, is in a range of AT&T Internet Services in San Francisco. Boodlesthecat (talk) 18:06, 11 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Additional information needed—per Code Letter E, links to four or more diffs showing the 3RR violations of the sock puppet accounts. Alternatively, select an alternative code letter (and provide the required material, if applicable). Cheers, AGK (talk) 22:10, 10 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Delisted, per above. AGK (talk) 22:10, 10 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

.. note that the IP addresses are also  Confirmed and mentioned due to the extent of the abuse here and that they've already been disclosed, and that this editor has been logging in and out to game the system - Alison 05:49, 19 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I have tagged and indefinitely blocked the sock accounts and sock master. I have sock tagged the IPs and anon blocked them for three months. I have posted this series of blocks and tagging for review at: Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard#Indefinite block of Griot. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Vassyana (talkcontribs)

Griot[edit]

One example of likely sock puppetry

one two three four five

then begins extended rapidfire disruptive extended strafing as Sedlam: [1] through [2]

Then jumps back in as Griot for more disruptive editing.

Griot has been a vociferous and disruptive editor on Ralph Nader related articles, intransigently pushing his POV with the help of likely sock puppets Sedlam and Feedler. Boodlesthecat (talk) 03:53, 8 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
