When I went through this user's edits, I've noticed a few things in their edit summaries: Morce Library's edit summaries are similar to Giubbotto non ortodosso's edit summaries. They also seem to overlap with each other and they appear to be frequenting on albums relating to Chris Brown. Not sure if it's 100% the same user behind a sock account, but one thing that did catch my eye was this particular revert, not to mention a few others. * Giubbotto non ortodosso vs. Morce Library.

- I'm not seeing enough here to seriously suspect socking. I see two users who share an interest in some artists and genre classification, and sometimes mention sources in their edit comments. That's not enough to suspect socking; genre warring is very common. Also, we ask (beg, plead, implore) people to be sticklers over sources, so how can we suspect socking when they do so? Morce often uses mobile, Giubbotto almost never does. Morce is only on enwiki, Giubbotto was on many different wikis. Timecards look quite different. Looking at their user talk comments, their mastery of English is different. Closing with no action. -- RoySmith (talk) 15:30, 6 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Tarallibus made a few edits to establish autoconfirmed status, then moved directly to one of his favored Chris Brown–related articles, Heartbreak on a Full Moon, to re-insert disputed text.[29][30] After that, Tarallibus made a lot of empty edits with the same edit summary, "putting back some material", to try and distract other editors from the Chris Brown–related change. Tarallibus followed the same pattern as blocked sock Happy feat breezy by inserting spaces in the same article,[31][32] all part of building up an edit history in hopes of achieving autoconfirmed status.

Immediately after I brought this here, another IP gave me grief for reporting this here (as opposed to ANV, I guess).[34] My talk page was protected, as was Aardwolf68's. - LM2000 Hi - I just looked at this. I'm happy to close it, but you're saying that the harassment is ongoing on different IPs? I may be able to look into the ranges and take action if you'd be willing to provide details. Can I add that, in terms of actionability, the report you made above is very scant. A random admin or SPI clerk who comes across this has no way of knowing what the connection between this IP and the proposed master is, and a deep dive into the archives can be time-consuming. A few sentences of explanation for the uninitiated is likely to result in a case being handled more efficiently. Best Girth Summit (blether) 18:47, 4 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

- I don't think this is Giubbotto non ortodosso. It's well documented in the SPI archives that the sockmaster is in Italy - this IP geolocates to Iran, and does not appear to be a proxy. The same editor appears to have been editing for a while on various Irancell IPs, e.g. [49][50]. Continuing past sockpuppets' pattern of disruptive editing on articles related to Chris Brown. In Special:Diff/1105264669, Jesten Ruler defended the inclusion of fabricated reviews on the Heartbreak on a Full Moon article that were originally added by a sockpuppet of Giubbotto non ortodosso, e.g. Morce Library (talk · contribs) in Special:Diff/1050537848. 176.246.89.143 (talk · contribs) and 176.246.18.132 (talk · contribs) have engaged in disruptive editing on the F.A.M.E. (Chris Brown album) article, and 176.246.89.143 is part of the IP range 176.246.64.0/19 that had previously been used by Giubbotto non ortodosso. Requesting CheckUser to scan for sleeper accounts. — Newslinger talk 12:17, 28 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
- Adding BithdayGirl (talk · contribs), which added fabricated reviews on the Indigo (Chris Brown album) article in Special:Diff/1065792204, e.g. a "8/10" review by "Barry Walters" that cites the home page of Spin and a "4/5" review by "Mike Juliano" that cites the home page of Exclaim!, both of which are nowhere to be found on any page of their respective websites. — Newslinger talk 12:41, 28 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Pigsternet and his deadwife is following me to several articles where I previously reverted socks of Giubbotto non ortodosso. In one case, Usher King of R&B started an article from a redirect,[68] and I deleted much of it per EVADE. Pigsternet and his deadwife reverted the reversion.[69] In another case, Italian IP 109.52.35.3 vandalized a song article,[70] followed by Pigsternet vandalizing again.[71] There's also the username taunt aspect of this case.
Adding Blatant bleah who restored the same text added by sockpuppet Maria Cherpantéz[72][73] after I had deleted much of this stuff per EVADE.[74]

Following recent sockpuppetry at X (Chris Brown album), which was reverted by Aardwolf68, Aardwolf68's talk page was attacked by 158.148.84.253, saying the USA Today source was too negative. After this, Taylor Classyer appeared to attack Aardwolf68 on the talk page of Sergecross73,[79] talking about months of previous effort (so obviously not a new user.)

Previous socks repeatedly removed the phrase "who praised the production but generally panned the lyrical content and Brown’s performances".[80][81] New sock Dee Cosey performed some minor edits to build up for autoconfirmed status, then radically changed the target phrase by blaming any negative criticism of the music on those who also criticize Brown's domestic violence streak. The same edit re-added the bit about blackballing which was first inserted by another sock more than a year ago.[82]

Some new editor names have changed Chris Brown articles to be too positive, reducing negative reviews and overemphasizing positive ones. Two of these editors overemphasized the Afrobeats genre[83][84] which the source says the album "touches". Binksternet (talk) 14:55, 28 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

- Thank you to the team for blocking the socks in group 1 and group 2. I submit that the remaining two usernames are also sockpuppets, geolocating to the same country, and interested in the same topics. All weekend on the weeknd has the same style and uses the same sources and text as previous socks. He restored some complicated changes including text that had previously been inserted by sockpuppets. Example: A "Musically, Indigo is an R&B record, that contains genres such as dancehall, afropop and bounce music as well." B "Musically, Indigo is an R&B record, that contains genres such as dancehall, Afrobeats and bounce music as well." Suspicious minds elvis hasn't repeated previous sock edits, but is highly suspicious because of the same geolocation and topic interests. Binksternet (talk) 17:14, 30 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
- I'd like to point out the surprising familiarity with Wikipedia that is displayed by All weekend on the weeknd, and his insistence on edit-warring to restore disputed content. Note that All weekend on the weeknd cuts down existing citations in the same manner as unblocked sock Lovely boy oneder, removing the title and author of the citation. This edit by All weekend on the weeknd removed a negative paragraph previously removed by blocked sock Dee Cosey.[85] Binksternet (talk) 14:29, 1 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
- Apparently the checkuser information that All weekend on the weeknd is from the same country as the sockmaster and other socks isn't seen as sufficient to block him. Which means that we are back to examining behavior, which I've highlighted above. I think the behavior and the geolocation are quite enough evidence. Hi everybody. I'm user All weekend on the weeknd. I don't wanna make this more confusing than it already is, but the "sockpuppet" that had previously inserted the same text as me was never blocked or even investigated for being a sockpuppet. The fact that we made the same edit probably comes from the fact that we both looked at this discussion => Talk:Indigo (Chris Brown album)#Opening discussion on vandalism, cherrypicking and editorial bias on this article. The same restoring that me and that other user did, has been made by other users as well like User:Instantwatym. These restorings keep on happening because Binksternet revertings are sometimes considered to be disruptive to articles by various other users.
I'm pretty sure that this won't help me from getting blocked, because I've stumbled across a Korean user that has been blocked in the past for being Giubbotto non ortodosso solely because he was accused by Binksternet.... But i wanna thank you for being careful so far--All weekend on the weeknd (talk) 10:30, 1 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

- @UtherSRG, all groups geolocate to the same country. This country is the same country that this case geolocates to. No direct connection via checkuser evidence, but checkuser evidence would not disagree with a connection to this case for Groups 1 and 2. Groups 3 and 4 are less strong of a link to this case than 1 and 2.

New user Talk 2 3 girls has repeated the edits of blocked sock Morce Library, as seen in the interaction tool, specifically these two edits adding COVID.[86][87] ClueBot reverted an edit,[88] which indicates suspicious behavior. Typical sock activity includes adding positive and removing negative stuff about Chris Brown: toward that end, Talk 2 3 girls could not resist removing a negative description of Chris Brown which is part of a direct quote.[89] This exact same removal was performed by Italian IP Special:Contributions/109.52.244.9 two years ago.[90] The IP was rangeblocked for a year as Special:Contributions/109.52.240.0/21.

Dave Peast made the same edits as previous socks trying to add the Afrobeats genre to the album Indigo.[99][100] An Italian IP did it, too.[101] This was followed by Aardwolf60 doing the same thing.[102] Aardwolf60 was blocked for creating a username which attacked Aardwolf68, and Aardwolf62 should have the same treatment.
Do eT like that tried to add "Come Together" to the Chris Brown template,[103] just like a previous sock.[104]
4lipmode 4 reverted a redirect to "Come Together", restoring text that had been repeatedly placed by socks and an Italian IP.[105][106][107][108]
