Cotson is not the oldest account, and there are many, many more socks that I'm missing. I've been noticing these users pop up for a long time (months), I'm not sure why I waited so long to report. Each account will usually create a user/user talk page before adding references to one or maybe two articles, usually with the aide of Wikipedia:ProveIt or WP:REFILL. Then the account is abandoned. Ex. sock accounts just from the past couple days: [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] Even if they aren't being used simultaneously, this type of account-hopping is deceptive; that and there's got to be some hidden spam I'm not noticing, maybe it's a paid sockfarm to spam refs?? @Bbb23: Unfortunately the new pages log only go back a month. jcc (tea and biscuits) 12:19, 22 July 2017 (UTC)

This case is being reviewed by Sro23 as part of the clerk training process. Please allow them to process the entire case without interference, and pose any questions or concerns either on their Talk page or on this page if more appropriate.
The exact same pattern of editing: inserting three references, one of which is a spam link. As with the other accounts, user page redirected to the talk page. Rentier (talk) 12:10, 25 July 2017 (UTC)
