To be fair, Bearian did say he wants to know more about Jafeluv before supporting, so lack of a user page doesn't sound like an automatic oppose. To Bearian, what questions would you like answered to reconsider your oppose? The Seeker 4 Talk 12:44, 3 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It's brilliant that he has no userpage - it shows he is not here to play myspace, and getting a landslide support without one shows he is here to do the right things. Userboxes are worse than pointless, and for an admin, all they serve to do is give the brainless some ammunition. If you really want to know his interests, check his contribs, or be smart and use What Links Here to see what projects he is signed up to. If he has no barnstars, so what? They are meaningless after all. If he has them and has simply said thanks, but chooses not to display them like they are trophies, or to show the respect of certain editors over others is not important to him, even better. If he chooses not to implement the luxury that is talk page archiving, that is hardly a crime, and it at least means he will get less opportunistic complaints lazily profiling him from the contents of his archives. The only thing a user page should possibly be used for is listing GAs and FAs, but since that process has become a standing joke, that sort of user page cruft is hardly needed anymore either to show you are a good contributor.
