Law Enforcement Subproject: Law Enforcement Operations[edit]
I have been working on a subproject of Law Enforcement that I dubbed: "Subproject Law enforcement operations" for several months and have items that need help for the project. I would like to post the subproject on the main page under a section 2 heading or section 3 heading of another section.
Finding law enforcement operations in other languages which do not appear in the English Wikipedia yet.
Finding named law enforcement operations, and unnamed law enforcement operations from various primary sources and generating a list on the talk page for each category they belong to. (this probably should be done differently)
Adding law enforcement operation articles to the appropriate level of the Category tree for law enforcement operations.
There are country specific law enforcement categories for any country that has more than two domestic or multinational law enforcement operation that they played a major role in. (subjective reasoning issue)
Each country has subcategories for police or national agencies that executed or planned the operation.
Introducing a standard or general template for each law enforcement article with the following sections ((see Operation Dark Huntor, Operation Lobos 1 for examples]]
Introduction and short summary
Infobox
Investigative History
Methodology
Legality (covers controversies, challenges, new case law, etc.)
Participating Law enforcement agencies (for multinational or multiagency operations)

If the Operation was multinational, often times it has different names in different countries that vary enough to have several articles, one for each named operation in each country that was part of the whole. In this situation, a NAVBOX can be created as was for Operation Avalanche and it's soliloquy.
As of today, there are more than 30 operations that have a Law Enforcement Operation Infobox, and several hundred that have been added to the category tree.
Lastly, I would like to figure out how to create a bot or transclusion of the category pages, so that we can have a single dynamic page that lists all law enforcement operations that can be found on the english wikipedia.
I recently created the page Janny Knol, the chief of the Dutch police. Could someone help me integrate/add it into the Wikiproject. Also, if you know more, please help edit. Thanks. Alexander vee (talk) 01:20, 20 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
