Martinez is a city in and the county seat of Contra Costa County, California, in the East Bay of the San Francisco Bay Area.[1] The population was 37,287 at the 2020 census.[2]
The downtown has many old buildings and antique shops. It is on the south shore of the Carquinez Strait in the San Francisco Bay Area.
