Achkhoy-Martanovsky District (Russian: Ачхо́й-Марта́новский райо́н; Chechen: Тӏеьха-Мартан кӏошт, Theẋa-Martan khoşt) is an administrative[1] and municipal[5] district (raion), one of fifteen in the Chechen Republic, Russia. It is located in the west of the republic. The area of the district is 1,100 square kilometers (420 sq mi).[citation needed] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Achkhoy-Martan.[1]

Health care

State health facilities in the district are represented by one central district hospital in Achkhoy-Martan and one district hospital in Samashki.

Demographics

Population: 78,505 (2010 Census);[3] 64,839 (2002 Census);[7] 59,837 (1989 Census).[8] The population of Achkhoy-Martan accounts for 25.7% of the district's total population.[3]
