Azadegan (Persian: ازادگان)[a] is a village in, and the capital of, Zayandeh Rud-e Jonubi Rural District of Sheyda District, Ben County, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province, Iran. The previous capital of the rural district was the village of Heydari.[3] The village is populated by Turkic people.[4]
At the 2006 census, its population was 743 in 172 households, when it was in the former Ben District of Shahrekord County.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 709 people in 207 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 789 people in 240 households, by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Ben County.[3] It was the most populous village in its rural district.[2]
