Chamestan (Persian: چمستان, also Romanized as Chamestān and Chomastan)[3] is a city in, and the capital of, Chamestan District of Nur County, Mazandaran province, Iran.[4] It also serves as the administrative center for Natel-e Restaq Rural District.[5]
At the 2006 census, its population was 9,481 in 2,420 households.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 10,617 people in 3,078 households.[7] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 11,194 people in 3,492 households.[2]
