Dezak (Persian: دزک; also known as Deh-e Zak)[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Kiar-e Sharqi Rural District of the Central District of Kiar County, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province, Iran.[4] The village is populated by Lurs.[5]
At the 2006 National Census, its population was 3,133 in 775 households, when it was in the former Kiar District of Shahrekord County.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 3,156 people in 886 households,[7] by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Kiar County.[8] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 2,942 people in 881 households. It was the most populous village in its rural district.[2]
