European Air Group is an association of the air forces of seven countries: Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and the United Kingdom. It was established as the Franco-British European Air Group in 1995, at the time of the first Gulf War and the later Balkans conflict.[citation needed] Belgium, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Spain joined in 1997.[citation needed]
