Khormarud-e Jonubi Rural District (Persian: دهستان خرمارود جنوبی), formerly Khormarud Rural District (دهستان خرمارود), is in Cheshmeh Saran District of Azadshahr County, Golestan province, Iran.[3] It is administered from the city of Now Deh Khanduz.[4]
At the National Census of 2006, its population was 3,003 in 758 households.[5] There were 2,584 inhabitants in 661 households at the following census of 2011.[6] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 2,485 in 778 households. The most populous of its nine villages was Su Sara, with 1,100 people.[2]
