Khormarud-e Shomali Rural District (Persian: دهستان خرمارود شمالي) is in the Central District of Azadshahr County, Golestan province, Iran. Its capital is the village of Azdar Tappeh.[3]
At the National Census of 2006, its population was 11,805 in 2,844 households.[4] There were 13,016 inhabitants in 3,894 households at the following census of 2011.[5] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 14,586 in 4,431 households. The most populous of its 10 villages was Azdar Tappeh, with 4,687 people.[2]
