Novokhopyorsky District (Russian: Новохопёрский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[5] district (raion), one of the thirty-two in Voronezh Oblast, Russia. It is located in the east of the oblast. The area of the district is 2,334 square kilometers (901 sq mi).[citation needed] Its administrative center is the town of Novokhopyorsk.[1] Population: 36,148 (2021 Census);[7] 41,128 (2010 Census);[2] 45,074 (2002 Census);[8] 50,684 (1989 Census).[9] The population of Novokhopyorsk accounts for 16.5% of the district's total population.[7]
