Verkhnemamonsky District (Russian: Верхнемамо́нский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[4] district (raion), one of the thirty-two in Voronezh Oblast, Russia. It is located in the south of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,345 square kilometers (519 sq mi).[citation needed] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Verkhny Mamon.[1] Population: 18,611 (2021 Census);[6] 21,659 (2010 Census);[2] 23,086 (2002 Census);[7] 22,788 (1989 Census).[8] The population of Verkhny Mamon accounts for 40.3% of the district's total population.[6]
