Mentioning In Bruges in the context of "high-profile Hollywood films" is incorrect. In Bruges is considered an independent film, hence the reason it premiered at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival. 71.199.123.192 (talk) 16:42, 7 July 2008 (UTC)
There seems to be an inordinate amount of time talking about Farrell's sex tape, as opposed to his other work, which in my view is more important. What can we do to sort this out? I don't want to censor the article, incidently. I just don't think Farrell's entire existence is defined by a sex tape. - Ta bu shi da yu 15:22, 4 February 2006 (UTC)
I agree with the above statemement. It seems like every celebrity has something of the sort in their past, yet it is only Colin Farrell's that keeps getting dredged up. Hepzibuh (talk) 19:31, 27 December 2010 (UTC)
"A nude scene featuring Colin Farrell has been cut from upcoming movie A Home At The End Of The World because the actor is "too well hung", The Sun reports today.
Apparently the naked scenes featuring the Irish bad boy caused such a stir amongst test audiences that the director decided to leave them out of the film altogether.
A source told the tabloid: "All you could hear were gasps when Colin appeared in his full-frontal pose. The women were over-excited and the men looked really uncomfortable. It was such a sight it made it difficult to concentrate on the plot, so the decision was made to get rid of it."
Director Michael Mayer admitted that it was "distracting" but added that fans would still be able to see the original scene on the DVD version of the film."
then this sex tape surfaces and his "equipment" is as standard sized as it gets...
Actually, i've seen it, it's above "standard."
Kind of funny... don't you think?
Celebrities are weird persons.

What does this mean? Does it mean he played in goal? that is no indication of his talent, except as a goalkeeper. At the moment, it makes it sound like he was such a promising player he was given that position as a reward. could someone who understadn his football career change that?Amo 20:28, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
If what Ben says is true in Ireland (and it wasn't last time i checked) it may go a longway to explain why other than Given there are few top class irish goalkeepers. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.140.17.96 (talk) 02:39, 9 September 2008 (UTC)
Nothing about common criticisms about his acting (i.e. he lacks talent)
B**lshit. He is a natural talent. Try having a NPOV on Wikipedia if you have nothing positive to say. Michaelh2001 10:27, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
Colin Farrell is an excellent actor. Hepzibuh (talk) 19:34, 27 December 2010 (UTC)
Reply: Yeap user:Michaelh2001 has a good point Colin Farrell is a great and good actor! and he has talents!. No doubt about it!! gooo Colin. I hope Farrell wins an Oscar in the near future because he deserveds one!! very versatile actor! -Ramirez 23:09, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
I think a major criticism should be the boyzone issue. YEAH!! mr louis walsh didn't chose him for the final band
Hi! To user:celebheights! how are you? I got a question for you? Why do you keep putting the disputed tags of original research or unverified claims in the Trivia section when in fact all of this are true. I've been a fan of Colin Farrell since 2002, and i have been researching all his biographfy life, including his private life, hollywood success, celebrity status, his movies etc. And if you didn't know about this Farrell does part time modeling; and his sister Claudine Farrell is her personal assistant. Before you erazed something think twice, because most of the Colin Farrell editors are very familiar of him. I think you should do some research and see if it's true or not, you well be surprised about this. :) Ramirez 23:00 28 November, 2006 (UTC)
Sorry, About my foul language. I'm just frustrated!. The Photo is properly licence tag now.. P.S. do not Tamper or add silly things into the Colin Farrell article, because I have "worked so hard" on this article for 2 months, including providing accurate details on COLIN'S infos. Thanks! --Ramirez 10, December 23:33 (UTC)
Do you think it would be inappropriate to add a screen capture of the sex tape to the article? -Trampikey(talk)(contribs) 23:03, 7 February 2007 (UTC)

I don't thinks so, It's not allowed, it's to sexually graphic. Thanks! --Ramirez 12:50, 9 February 2007 (UTC)
Reply: I heard that Colin Farrell said before, that he will take legal court actions to anyone who shows the Tape or images to the public. I think he means it. Just be cautious because, he is really serious about it, he will probably sue Wikipedia for defamation, (including yourself) for putting it. Consult the administrators first before making any decisions. - Ramirez 23:30, 9 February 2007 (UTC)
Let's change the mane photo:)
And I thing that it'll be right to show photos with Amelia and Kim or other girls, because they play important role in his life too, not only this Kurus —Preceding unsigned comment added by BabyLika123 (talk • contribs) 17:48, 15 October 2010 (UTC)

Colin appeared in an Irish show called "Ballykissangel" in the nineties i can't edit so if someone could find a source for it....because if it is sourced it will be proven that his "years active" are earlier than 1999 Rmuluu (talk) 00:04, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
Ok I found a reference and put it in the beginning of the "Career" section....if someone is unhappy about the way I put it in feel free to change it!! --Rmuluu (talk) 16:49, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
British stage, screen, and television actor born 1938. Has he become an unperson? How did equity allow two actors with the same name to work? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.10.198.101 (talk) 20:56, 8 December 2009 (UTC)

Still no article about the other Colin Farrell. Ten years later. C'mon, he was in "Oh, What a Lovely War" and "A Bridge Too Far."

This should not be added yet as it has not been confirmed by either party. Also, the headline is off-putting. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Hepzibuh (talk • contribs) 18:53, 15 October 2010 (UTC)
I am changing the line in the "Career" section which says he was "uncredited" for his role as Tommy Sweet in the film Crazy Heart. Although it was not a staring role it certainly was credited. i.e. His name appears in the credits. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Shanehickeylk (talk • contribs) 21:16, 3 March 2011 (UTC)
I updated a link that was broken in the Personal Life section. I don't see how to get rid of the Broken Link notation. Hepzibuh (talk) 15:53, 20 December 2011 (UTC)
I removed this since the links were dead and one was questionable.
Does anybody have reliable sources for this and is it worthy of inclusion? --Mollskman (talk) 23:59, 21 January 2012 (UTC)
There are numerous dead links, and quite a bit of material that is dated and not written in a encyclopediatic tone. I am not good at this stuff, but it seems that the subject of the article is worthy of a better written bio. Maybe the BLPN board could be notified and other editors could help improve the quality of this bio? --Mollskman (talk) 00:14, 22 January 2012 (UTC)
As I'm adding more material to this article, I think it important to break down the "Career" section into more palatable chunks, i.e., subcategories. See Kate Beckinsale's article. While CF's career's not as cut and dried as hers in terms of a big move from the UK after establishing herself or the deliberate focus on action, he's had as long of a career with a definable overall arc, I think. For example, I've read in New York magazine how Fright Night seemed to mark a "comeback" for him (the critic was quite excited), and a recent issue talked about his "starring in movies again" or some such with Total Recall. Anyway, let's discuss here before just taking these subcategories out, gracias.--Aichikawa (talk) 21:11, 20 August 2012 (UTC)
Does anyone even read this board, LOL. I was thinking of taking out some of the mentions of limited theatrical releases as alot of these films are available on DVD now. What say you people?--Aichikawa (talk) 01:34, 18 September 2012 (UTC)
Not done: I have no idea what I was talking about here, lol, and to say what films had limited releases tells readers why they may not have heard of them so leave.--Aichik (talk) 15:29, 25 August 2013 (UTC)
Interesting, but he's also friends with Jeremy Renner, and dunno if it's still current, Jamie Foxx. We should include too otherwise delete.--69.2.120.11 (talk) 22:18, 4 January 2013 (UTC)
Not done: He may be friends with those guys but neither George Clooney nor Brad Pitt's profiles include any friendship section, and the latter was a featured article. Farrell's friendship with Liz Taylor is interesting (it also evens out a section that is otherwise just about his sex life) and has been in the news, so leave as is.--Aichik (talk) 15:27, 25 August 2013 (UTC)

I will review this article. — Cirt (talk) 22:51, 12 July 2013 (UTC)
This article's Good Article promotion has been put on hold. During review, some issues were discovered that can be resolved without a major re-write. This is how the article, as of August 9, 2013, compares against the six good article criteria:
NOTE: Please do not intersperse comments in between this review, rather, please respond below the entire GA Review, thanks!
Please address these matters soon and then leave a note here showing how they have been resolved. After 48 hours the article should be reviewed again. If these issues are not addressed within 7 days, the article may be failed without further notice. Thank you for your work so far. — Cirt (talk) 20:47, 9 August 2013 (UTC)
--Aichik (talk) 21:57, 23 August 2013 (UTC)
Update: Have addressed those last five unaddressed sections on Talk page.--Aichik (talk) 15:44, 25 August 2013 (UTC)
I took a quick look through and didn't see any red flags. Since there was already one review that is fine with it being a GA, I don't see the need to do another, so as a result I'm going to pass this. Wizardman 22:42, 26 September 2013 (UTC)
Any sources on this yet? It's been flagged for awhile and doesn't seem true as the video is readily available on the internet.--Aichik (talk) 02:03, 5 August 2013 (UTC)
Article looks good, but I spot a lot of broken refs and sourcing inconsistencies which for GA really should be satisfactory. Can you ensure that each web source has access dates consistently and that there are no broken refs?♦ Dr. Blofeld 16:08, 27 September 2013 (UTC)
This new material "Farrell was discovered in Sydney by Hume Theatre Company and cast in the role of Stevie Hart in their original production of Kelly's Reign" need a reference. I've copyedited it so that the style for footnoting it isn't as weird, but if someone could source this, it'd be great.--Aichik (talk) 21:01, 21 March 2014 (UTC)
Has he not gotten US citizenship yet? Does anyone know? His kids are American so he's obviously thought about it. Maybe not.--A21sauce (talk) 02:28, 17 May 2015 (UTC)

Say @A21sauce,
Like I said before, are you familiar with WP:EL at all? Because for some reason you still decided to revert me again. "Comes with a article if you'd bother to read it". Did you bother to read it? Because the link isn't about Farrell, it's about In Bruges. Oh wait, it's also about a film called The Band's Visit. Actually, it's a two part film review. So why should we link to the article? soetermans. ↑↑↓↓←→←→ B A TALK 05:18, 12 April 2018 (UTC)
