Denys Shmygal → Denys Shmyhal – Best transliteration of the name and commonly used in media Davidbowtie11 (talk) 16:30, 4 March 2020 (UTC) The name might need updating to Shmyhal, rather than Shmygal

I also agree. Shmygal is the Russian transliteration. It shouldn't apply to a Ukrainian surname. Definitely should be changed to Shmyhal. YantarCoast (talk) 09:45, 5 March 2020 (UTC)

Is any information available about his parents? I found this source, but unsure if it is accurate:

Is he of Jewish heritage? 173.88.246.138 (talk) 01:48, 4 March 2022 (UTC)
There’s no mention in the article of an election. So he’s never had to face an electorate and he’s Prime Minister? Is that true? Boscaswell talk 19:16, 14 October 2022 (UTC)
The last sentence of the first paragraph should say "the Honcharuk Government" rather than merely "Honcharuk Government". A minor edit which I would have done myself, but the page seems to be locked from editing - so I thought I'd flag the matter for whoever has the authority to edit the page. 45.93.75.130 (talk) 12:20, 17 October 2022 (UTC)
A Jerusalem Post article quoting an Islamic scholar and claiming that Shmyhal is Jewish is not a reliable source. There is no primary or reliable source that mention Shmyhal being of Jewish heritage and it is not mentioned in the Ukrainian or Russian Wikipedia articles either. Wikipedia administrators need to protect these pages from vandalism Rahammz (talk) 23:38, 12 November 2022 (UTC)
