can somebody give me the most important features from ghostface. I need it quick for school, thanks.

Lil Help?[edit]

Can sombody give the section I added about 'shriek if you know what I did last friday the 13th' some cleanup? (As my spelling and grammar is poor). Plus if anyone could give a good shot from the film it would help. :)—Preceding unsigned comment added by Jamesbuc (talkcontribs)

I've cleaned up the section a bit, both your inclusion and the previous "Scary Movie" inclusion. I removed somethings that did not meet Wiki's NPOV policy. Also, "Kills" is unencyclopedic, so I removed all of them. Not only that, but it's hard to actually attribute "kills" to a character that is portrayed by different people each film. Just like Jason's "kills" cannot be counted from Friday the 13th, or Friday the 13th part V, because neither films were him. Bignole 13:21, 9 November 2006 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Okay. :) I assumed that because other films/sections (such as all the I know what you did lats summer films have deaths sections that fulling in more (the deaths part was already here when I edited, I simply expanded to include the two spoofs. Thanks anyway for the edits. :) Jamesbuc

Yeah, I know they do, and they shouldn't. Depending on who is watching them will depend on what they have. Sometimes only fans are the ones editing the pages and so they will tend to include certain things that probably shouldn't be there. When I get a chance I'll probably go through and copyedit more of the page. Bignole 14:10, 9 November 2006 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Ok. Ill also attempt to help if things are needed. :) Jamesbuc

Feel free, and I'm usually around if questions are needed. I usually point people to Jabba the Hutt, because this is a fictional character aricle that is a "Featured Article", and shows how one should be written. Bignole 14:47, 9 November 2006 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Shriek[edit]

I dont see why there should not be a direct link to the film's own page on Wiki here! Scary movie is similar and it also recives links. Jamesbuc

There link is already there, look in the paragraph above it. Bignole 12:46, 14 November 2006 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Name[edit]

Is he ever called Ghostface in the film? Should it be moved to "Woodsboro killer" or "Father Death" or something?~ZytheTalk to me! 22:40, 21 November 2006 (UTC)Reply[reply]

He's referred to Ghostface in the scripts, and thats how most people identify him by.--CyberGhostface 22:42, 21 November 2006 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Yes but despite that Zythe does have a point. Maybe it should be mentioned that he isnt ever called Ghostface. Jamesbuc

I just call him Scream. --Count Mall 21:33, 11 July 2007 (UTC)Reply[reply]

So does my friend. alot of people dont know his name is Ghostface. - 68.102.132.1 18:03, 28 October 2007 (UTC)Hyuuga-samaReply[reply]

What's the source for this name coming from the script? Was the script published by a reliable source approved by Wes Crven or Miramax/Weinstein? What is he called in the credits? Nightscream (talk) 02:16, 26 February 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]
A) Tatum calls him "Mr. Ghostface", and he is indeed adressed as Ghostface in all the scripts, simply check IMSDB. B) He is not credited as Ghostface, but rather as the characters who were revealed as killers, and his voice, Roger L. Jackson. Still, labelling him "The Killer" is too general. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.247.224.183 (talk) 23:35, 13 May 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
The only published script was for the first film by Miramax Books/Hyperion[1] Not once is he referred to as Ghostfact in the script, but rather "Ghostly Figure". Geeky Randy (talk) 04:47, 14 May 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Ghostface's Enemies[edit]

Ghostface's enemies have been Sidney and friends.

I hope that makes sense. So for short every single person (with maybe the exception of Mickey) were after Sidney and her friends/family. Jamesbuc

Rape[edit]

Sidney's mother, Maureen, was not raped. Maureen and Cotton Weary were having an affair. Billy and Stu killed Maureen shortly after Cotton had sex with her, which placed Cotton at the scene of the crime and his semen inside her. This page claimed that Billy and Stu raped Maureen, which isn't true so I changed it.

Maureen was referred to being raped and murdered.--CyberGhostface 00:54, 4 February 2007 (UTC)Reply[reply]
NVM, yours makes sense I guess. I haven't watched the film in a long time, so I'll have to just trust your judgement.--CyberGhostface 00:55, 4 February 2007 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I agree, Maureen was not raped. Cotton's DNA from the affair + him being a suspect = the theory he raped and murdered her. But in reality, Cotton and Maureen had sex, then Billy/Stu later killed her... framing Cotton. Geeky Randy (talk) 04:49, 14 May 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Yeah, you're right. It had been years since I saw the film when I made the initial comment.--CyberGhostface (talk) 05:11, 15 May 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Cleanup[edit]

Personally, I think this article needs clean-up. Maybe, someone is willing to do it. AquafireGal 13:24 16th February 2007.

Can we get a real picture of ghostface on here? Toonami Reactor (talk) 17:23, 16 October 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Specter of Newby Church[edit]

I saw "Shutter" last night (the Thai version) and was looking around on the web for ghost pictures.

I found a picture of the Specter of Newby Church and the apparition in the photo looks just like Ghostface.

Specter of Newby Church

I was not sure if it was worth putting into the main article but it was interesting enough that I thought I would submit it for discussion. Zola (talk) 20:06, 17 January 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

List of kills?[edit]

Would it be worthwhile to add a list of characters killed by Ghostface ? Just a thought Dylan (talk) 18:13, 19 January 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

References[edit]

If anyone can help with references I'd appreciate it, I'm trying to make this more in like with FA Jason Voorhees but I'm really struggling to find many references, particularly some good behind the scenes info would be useful, I've done what I can but finding interviews and such for such a big film and a big character seems ridiculously hard.Darkwarriorblake (talk) 21:54, 6 March 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Please nominate[edit]

I don't know how to. SOMEONE PLEASE NOMINATE THIS FOR GOOD ARTICLE! It is pretty informative and has plenty of references.-Dpm12 8 March 2011 3:04 PM PST.

Scream TV series[edit]

Now that the first season of the Scream TV series has ended and we know who the killer is, should we start updating the article with information regarding the television incarnation of Ghostface? I don't think the article would be complete without it. Darkknight2149 (talk) 05:56, 6 September 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Hello? Does anyone have anything to say on this matter? Is everyone okay with this? I'm not seeing any opposition. Darkknight2149 (talk) 13:07, 9 September 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Images of the other killers[edit]

Since there is one image of Stu Macher and Billy Loomis the original Ghostface killers, could you guys add in three more images of the other Ghostface killers please?

1. [Loomis] and [Altieri], the second Ghostface killers.

2. [Bridger], the third and final Ghostface killer.

3. [Roberts] and [Walker], the fourth and new Ghostface killers. 31.48.57.250 (talk) 21:39, 30 October 2017 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Article name change[edit]

I think the disambiguation (character) makes little sense, Ghostface is an identity used by multiple characters. I think it should be moved to Ghostface (identity) or even Ghostface (code name).★Trekker (talk) 14:31, 7 April 2019 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Since no-one has said anything against it I will go ahead and do it.★Trekker (talk) 17:18, 22 May 2019 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Requested move 21 February 2024[edit]

Ghostface (identity)Ghostface (Scream) – Page was unilaterally moved a couple of times to different names. However the original name is the most precise, and (identity) is a non-standard disambiguation. I think both moves should be reverted as unnecessary. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ () 17:51, 21 February 2024 (UTC) — Relisting. 🌺 Cremastra (talk) 18:40, 28 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

The Ghostface Killah stage name predates the first Scream film by several years. He actually took the name from a character in the 1979 film, The Mystery of Chess Boxing. NJZombie (talk) 14:57, 22 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
