Claiming that this player is regarded as one of the best rugby players without a reference seems POV. Try to avoid peacock terms. -- ReyBrujo 04:56, 16 June 2006 (UTC) really? and you are an expert on rugby league? ask any professional league player who has played with or against gorden, and they will tell you he is regarded amongst the best forwards ever to have played the game. stick with what you know, it is like me claiming eva peron was an awful woman, when i know nothing about her or argentina. it would be pure ignorance, don't you agree? I've restored the 'BLP refimprove' tag to the article as four sources for a BLP article of this size is not sufficient. The tag will help draw people to the article who are interested in sourcing and also provide a head's up to those reading the article that not all the information contained in the article has been verified. --Jezebel'sPonyoshhh 14:40, 6 October 2009 (UTC)
"my great-grandmother was from Loh Island in the Torres Strait." As a Torres Strait Islander that knows the geographical names of my surrounding, I can confirm that there is no such place call 'Loh' Island in the Torres Strait. It's obvious that Gordon Tallis mixed this up with Loh Island, part of the Torres Islands in Vanuatu http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Torres_Islands — Preceding unsigned comment added by 49.176.68.33 (talk) 08:07, 12 June 2013 (UTC)

The article states that he won the 97, 98 and 2000 grand finals. While technically true, I feel this is misleading as 97 was the Super League grand final. Someone without knowledge of the Super League war could read this article and get the impression he won the 97 ARL Grand Final.
It should be distinguished that 98 and 2000 were NRL, while 97 was Super League. 2001:8003:9102:AF00:2416:438:2764:8E5C (talk) 05:17, 26 June 2023 (UTC)
