Dear editors, it may be not you but there is a tendency of some of the wiki editors to refer to various references in their additions and edits but they themselves do not bother to read those sources in detail. The reference against the information added by one with IP 37.105.134.163 ( S/he does it several times as seen in the edit history) that Hima Das is the eldest among five siblings is ambiguous. Pls go through the actual reference linked wherein Hima has been described as youngest and NOT the eldest. It may be possible and probably true that she may be the eldest but let it be there as it is till someone with better reference comes with correct information.
Materialscientist, it will be appreciated if you exactly make your corrections at the points where you have reservations regarding structure , grammar or whatever of the content of the article instead of taking the article back to its nascent version again and again undoing contributions made by various editors, right from the article's creator to myself. That is unwarranted. It appears you are a SYSOP. But it will be appreciated if you leave it to other editors and readers who are collecting information regarding and related to the athlete and enriching the content of the article. Your administrative services to the article must not wipe out properly and accurately referred contents in it. It will be helpful if you do really go through the reference sources for the article's content one by one and remove if there is any mal-reference ( a new term I think) which actually does not support the information added. But I would suggest you leave it to other knowledgeable editors or people who are really concerned or interested in the athlete's biography. If you really wanna make improvements, additions, corrections of structure , grammar etc. pls do justify point by point of your action instead of resorting to a holistic approach of para/section editing. The term "International gold medal" is used by the journalist in the article which is refered. Gold medal in an international event may be more appropriate hence replaced. Replaced the sentence for athelete's achievement at IAAF World U20 Championships. JASDVI (talk) 20:23, 10 September 2018 (UTC)
‘She belongs to the Keot(Kaibarta) community, an indigenous community of Assam.’
This information is not with reference and is invasive of Hima Das’ privacy and right to self identification. Furthermore, such sensitive information about her background, which can put her in discriminating and difficult situations, without her consent should not be put on her Wikipedia. This line should be deleted from her page. And if she has self identified so, the reference for his must be put up accordingly. Mengonaphe (talk) 19:24, 25 July 2019 (UTC)
- I support the above statement. -- Arunudoy (talk) -- 05:55, 5 August 2019 (UTC)
Create a new table with matches she has participated in and the corrsponsing medals, or maybe just add the information in the medal template in the Infobox.Aadarshashutosh (talk) 22:45, 1 September 2019 (UTC)
