This article says that Pershing's grandson Richard Pershing was killed in action in 1968 while serving with the 502nd Infantry. The 502nd Infantry was never at Khe Sanh, which was manned by US Marine Corps units. Sloppy! 174.58.100.83 (talk) 20:27, 10 February 2024 (UTC)
