Image:Tvr old.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:59, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Don't panic; a discussion will now take place over on Commons about whether to remove the file. This gives you an opportunity to contest the deletion, although please review Commons guidelines before doing so.
If the image is non-free then you may need to upload it to Wikipedia (Commons does not allow fair use)
If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale then it cannot be uploaded or used.

The result of the move request was: (non-admin closure) Not Moved. I don't see a consensus for either the proposed move or the alternate suggestion of TVR (TV network). power~enwiki (π, ν) 22:21, 25 October 2018 (UTC) power~enwiki (π, ν) 22:21, 25 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Comment – Not according to WP:ENGLISH it shouldn't. Most English-language sources do not refer to it as "Televiziunea Română". But, neither do they call it Romanian Television. Most English-language sources do seem to refer to the network as "TVR". So I'm included to oppose a move to Televiziunea Română. But I could possibly support a move to TVR (TV network). --IJBall (contribs • talk) 21:37, 28 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Support move to Televiziunea Română per Wikipedia:Naming conventions (use English)#No established usage in English-language sources. There is not enough coverage of this topic in reliable English-language sources; so per the WP:USEENGLISH policy ("It can happen that an otherwise notable topic has not yet received much attention in the English-speaking world, so that there are too few sources in English to constitute an established usage.") we should use Televiziunea Română. It has certainly not received coverage as "Television Romania". AusLondonder (talk) 17:42, 16 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
You ignored what I said – most of the English-language sources at the article refer to the network as TVR, not as "Televiziunea Română". As per WP:ENGLISH, TVR (TV network) is the best option here. Redirects to this from the other two titles will still exist. --IJBall (contribs • talk) 18:50, 16 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, but here "parenthetical disambiguation" is clearly preferable to a non-English title (esp. as this is how English-language sources appear to predominantly refer to this network...). --IJBall (contribs • talk) 21:53, 16 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
TVR is also often used in non-English sources for this network, possibly enough to make it a contender for common name. — Frayæ (Talk/Spjall) 22:10, 16 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose. WP:USEENGLISH. The proposed title is not English. --В²C☎ 20:50, 22 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Romanian Television → Romanian Television Society – even if "Romanian Television" is the common name, I think it's too general considering that there are many other television channels in Romania. This name may confuse readers into thinking that they are reading an article about television in Romania when reading the title. The official name of this channel, "Romanian Television Society", is more appropriate in my opinion and is not too long. SuperΨDro 11:13, 20 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Move to TVR (Romanian television network). The article refers to TVR throughout and that appears to be the common name. 162.208.168.92 (talk) 21:04, 21 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose. I think WP:COMMONNAME should dictate the title of the article. The "about" template is already present at the top of the page to direct readers to the list of Romanian television stations, if that is what they were looking for. Grk1011 (talk) 13:48, 27 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Support a move but probably not as proposed. The current name Romanian Television is not sufficiently recognisable, it would be more likely assumed to refer to Television in Romania. But the English official name is probably not the best choice either. Andrewa (talk) 18:06, 28 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I don't even remember having started this RM. I would prefer not to use acronyms but I'm not opposed to it either, so sure. SuperΨDro 13:14, 15 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Support this suggestion. Best yet, and certainly an improvement. Andrewa (talk) 06:53, 16 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
WP:NCBC does prefer (TV network). I would say the examples you named use (broadcaster) because these companies include both radio and TV. 162.208.168.92 (talk) 00:10, 20 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
