Hello and welcome again! It's nice to meet you and I hope we get to work together as well. One suggestion I have is that you sign your comments on talk pages with four tildes (~~~~) so everybody knows what you've said. Keep up the good work, and I look forward to seeing what you work on! All the best, Keilana|Parlez ici 16:54, 13 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello![edit]

Hi Keilana,

It's nice to meet you. Thank you for the tip. I am looking forward to learning how to create an article as well as choosing a topic with my teammate Jim during this semester. I will contact you if I have any questions.

Thank again! Cdunca12 17:54, 13 February 2013 (UTC)

Incorporating Indentation for Responses[edit]

I'm adding on to my last reply, as I did not use the single colon for my first response. Cdunca12 17:59, 13 February 2013 (UTC)

Nice to meet you![edit]

Nice to meet you!
Helloo Cdunca12! Giving you this wikilove because I think all new wikipedians should'nt be welcomed as I was. You should have a proper greeting and imediate service by expierienced editors. Lets start off by saying, don't forget to sign your name using four tiles. Hopefully we may work together on an article and find comfort here. I'm going to be more like a watcher here. I'll be the one to usually drop by your page and help you out here. Lets us secondly start by offering you to the Adopt-A-User program that will help you a lot. :) thank you and feel free to come by my page. From now on, I am your Wikipedia friend. Nice to meet you. RaidenRules! (talk) 21:17, 13 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Raiden Rules![edit]

Thank you for your support. I really appreciate the guidance especially as this is my first trial at creating a new article in Wikipedia! Feel free to give me input for my edits throughout the semester.

Cdunca12 00:02, 14 February 2013 (UTC)

Hi Cisilya! How are you? I look forward to working with you. Please note that I originally set up my user name as jgould140 but couldn't get into it, so I created a new user page under "jgould1400". Since our course's page still groups me with you in the list of teams as "jgould140", I’ve asked Keilana how this can be changed (I’m only using the jgould1400 user name going forward). Please let me know if this message reaches you successfully. Thanks, Jim Jgould1400 (talk) 01:31, 14 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits[edit]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button or located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when they said it. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 04:17, 14 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Unit 3 - Teammate Introduction (con'd)[edit]

Hi Jim,

Thanks for letting me know about your new username, JGould1400. I have added your new user talk page to my Watchlist. Please feel free to contact me anytime in regards to project collaboration or choosing articles. Thanks! Cdunca12 04:24, 14 February 2013 (UTC)

Hi again, Cisilya. Although we don't have to select an article topic until next week, I wanted to see if you have any initial favorites. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jgould1400 (talkcontribs) 06:12, 24 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again Cisilya. Any thoughts re article selection? Please let me know. Thanks, Jim Jgould1400 (talk) 00:39, 5 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Cisilya. I saw your post from last night on my talk page asking about "point mutation" or "nick"? I've also suggested point mutation. Regarding "nick", this is only a stub so far, which I guess is okay, but I wanted to know your rationale on this (in particular, what would be some of the main topics in a "nick" article. One reason I ask is that I'd prefer not to get into torsion and supercoiling -- with all the various equations, calculations and related mind-bending. AM I missing something? Please let me know. AND IMPORTANTLY, please continue this discussion on our Project's "Talk page" because we are apparently going to be graded tomorrow based on what we put on the Project Talk page -- not our personal pages (and, by the way, I don't think Professor Ogg has graded it yet, but last week's Wiki assignment was to post article assessments to our Project's Sandbox page, and I didn't see any assessments from you there. I guess this was considered an "individual assignment" but wanted to alert you in case she will be grading these in combination with the grading of this week's assignment (due tomorrow), which has two parts: our discussion on our Project talk page and our 200-300-word rationale on our topic choice. Best, Jim. Jgould1400 (talk) 22:14, 5 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I should just clarify that there appears to be no "Project Sandbox"; our article assessments are/were to be posted to our project page (i.e., the "Project 82H" main page). Jgould1400 (talk) 23:06, 5 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Diberri's template filler[edit]

Hi! Unfortunately right now the tool is down so I can't walk you through it properly like I want to. But to answer your basic question, yes, you pick cite journal and go from there. It should be creating the correct reference. Do you want me to take a look at the references it's created for you and see if they're right? Sorry I can't be of more help - when it's back online if you still want me to I can walk you through. Happy editing, Keilana|Parlez ici 22:07, 5 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Keilana - Thank you for your help! I think I know how to use it now. It is adding the inline citations correctly. It's adding each reference as I'm adding them. Is it ok if they're not in alphabetical order? Cdunca12 07:50, 8 April 2013 (UTC)

Help us improve the Wikipedia Education Program[edit]

Hi Cdunca12! As a student editor on Wikipedia, you have a lot of valuable experience about what it's like to edit as a part of a classroom assignment. In order to help other students like you enjoy editing while contributing positively to Wikipedia, it's extremely helpful to hear from real student editors about their challenges, successes, and support needs. Please take a few minutes to answer these questions by clicking below. (Note that the responses are posted to a public wiki page.) Thanks!

Disambiguation link notification for May 1[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited XRCC4, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Subunits (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Speedy deletion nomination of File:XRCC4 Interactions in NHEJ.jpg[edit]

A tag has been placed on File:XRCC4 Interactions in NHEJ.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. File permission problem with File:Interaction of XRCC4 in NHEJ.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Interaction of XRCC4 in NHEJ.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as ((non-free fair use)) or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 08:01, 9 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
