Hi,

I wanted to discuss about a particular flag version, Flag of Saudi Arabia (type 1).svg. The flags website that you cited is incorrect in the royal court flag, which actually uses the script variant of Flag of Saudi Arabia (type 1).svg and different palm tree and sword. Flag of Saudi Arabia (type 1).svg is the version that the Royal Court of Saudi Arabia uses, and as well as in military settings.

Besides that, I actually went to Saudi Arabia for religious reasons, and they do not care about the multiple variants of the flag there. There are around 4 script variants of the shahada! But I can tell you that the current version of the Flag of Saudi Arabia (type 1).svg is the main flag. I never saw the current version of Flag of Saudi Arabia.svg hanged anywhere in Saudi Arabia but they used it on flag day the most because it is decorative. I'm actually from Saudi Arabia. I agree with you that most people don't care when it comes to which variant of the Shahada is used, even in the government. However, that was before they standardized the flag in celebration of our first flag day in March 11 of this year. They are now using it officially as can be seen here: [1]https://twitter.com/KSAMOFA/status/1634899389004259335?s=20 by the minister of state for foreign affairs.

The darker green variation is only a week old, so it needs time to be more widely used. That's why I've changed "Flag of Saudi Arabia.svg"; to help it spread faster.

Can you change Saudi Arabia.svg to the new version? I'm actually new so I can't.
