Hello ChamithN. Speedy deletion work is important and I do appreciate the effort. I would just ask that you please review the criteria carefully because accuracy is also important. On that issue, I have declined your speedy deletion nomination of Mersalaayitten as lacking context under CSD A1. That criterion did not apply because it is only for articles where you literally cannot identify the subject of the article from its text. While the article was quite short, what it was about was plain. You also tagged it under CSD A7, which did not apply because the article was about a song, and A7 only applies to articles on real persons or groups, individual animals, organizations, web content and organized events.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 03:04, 14 August 2015 (UTC)

Hello ChaminthN
I am not sure what exactly needs to be clarified on the MTL Blog Inc page. For example, what is the difference between MTL Blog Inc and the Thrillist Media Group page? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thrillist_Media_Group
I appreciate any constructive feedback you can offer! Also, how can I input photos into the article? There are screenshots from CBC news that fit well into a section of the article that I found online.
Regards,
Matt — Preceding unsigned comment added by MattOhMTL (talk • contribs) 16:42, 14 August 2015 (UTC)
Hello ChamithN,
Okay I understand now, more third party sources. I originally confused the official websites as sources that could be used for verification. I will look into revising the article. Thanks for the clarifications.

Hello ChamithN,
I have added sources and clarified much of the page. Does it meet the Wikipedia standards now? Also, I looked into uploading images, and it says I must have done 10 edits to be able to upload photos. I am not entirely sure how or where to upload the photos to be able to retrieve them for linking into the article (since I have about 2 photos to upload that are relevant). The articles on how to upload the photos are more confusing since there are so many options and wikilanguage. Could you please clarify the process?
Thank you again,
MattOhMTL (talk) 16:02, 18 August 2015 (UTC)

you have to place them between <ref></ref>
tags. So you citation should be like this, <ref>[http://www.trademarkia.com/narcity-86475444.html]</ref>
. Also, don't cite Facebook as a source as it isn't considered a reliable source. You have to link to the precise article (don't link to the homepage) where it explicitly mentions the cited content. For now I'll remove the proposed deletion tag and move your article to a draft space as you are working on it. Best, -- Chamith (talk) 16:24, 18 August 2015 (UTC)

Hi there. Okay, I understand that nbsp is a non-breaking space. But that is a raw HTML entity, correct? Why do some editors create edits with nbsp in them such as edits here? Thanks in advance for the clarification. --SpyMagician (talk) 04:06, 28 August 2015 (UTC)

wasn't preceded by a space then the script won't try to modify it because, as there aren't any whitespaces it's unlikely to cause linebreaks. So as you can see there was a space before the –
here which made the script suggest a non-breaking space rather than a whitespace+–
. This is however, not a rule, but rather a formatting method to improve article layout. I hope you'll get my explanation. Greetings, all! We hope that everyone had a nice summer. Saturday saw the end of Round 2. Things went relatively smoothly this month. The top 2 from 4 pools, plus the top participant (the wildcard, or "9th place") of all remaining competitors, moved onto Round 3. We had one withdrawal early in Round 2, so he was replaced by the next-highest scorer from Round 1. Round 2's highest scorer was Pool D's Tomandjerry211, who earned an impressive 366 points; he also reviewed the most articles (19). Close behind was Zwerg Nase, also in Pool D, at 297 points and 16 articles. The wildcard slot went to Good888. Congrats to all! Round 3 will have 9 competitors in 3 pools. The key to moving forward was reviewing articles with the longest nomination dates, as it has been in every round up to now. For example, 2 competitors only needed to review 2 articles each to win in their pools, and each article were either from the pink nomination box (20 points) or had languished in the queue for over 5 months (18 points). The GA Cup continues to be a success in many ways, even with fewer competitors this time. For some reason, the competitors in the 2015 GA Cup have reviewed fewer articles in Round 2, which has made the judges scratch their head in confusion. We've speculated many reasons for that: the summer months and vacations, our competitors are saving their strength for the final rounds, or they all live in the Pacific Northwest and the heavy wildfire smoke has affected their thinking. Whatever the reason, Round 2 competitors reviewed almost 100 articles, which is a significant impact in the task of reviewing articles for GA status. We've considered that the lower participation this competition is due to timing, so we intend to discuss the best time frame for future GA Cups. For Round 3, participants have been placed randomly in 3 pools of 3 contestants each; the top editor in each pool will progress, as well as the top 2 of all remaining users. Round 3 will start on September 1 at 0:00:01 UTC and end on September 28 at 23:59:59 UTC. Information about Round 3 and the pools can be found here. Good luck to the remaining contestants, and have fun! Cheers from Figureskatingfan, 3family6 and Jaguar, and MrWooHoo. To subscribe or unsubscribe to future GA Cup newsletter, please add or remove your name to our mailing list. If you are a participant still competing, you will be on the mailing list no matter what as this is the easiest way to communicate between all participants.

The finals for the 2015 Wikicup has now begun! Congrats to the 8 contestants who have survived to the finals, and well done and thanks to everyone who took part in rounds 3 and 4.
In round 3, we had a three-way tie for qualification among the wildcard contestants, so we had 34 competitors. The leader was by far Casliber (submissions) in Group B, who earned 1496 points. Although 913 of these points were bonus points, he submitted 15 articles in the DYK category. Second place overall was Coemgenus (submissions) at 864 points, who although submitted just 2 FAs for 400 points, earned double that amount for those articles in bonus points. Everyone who moved forward to Round 4 earned at least 100 points.
The scores required to move onto the semifinals were impressive; the lowest scorer to move onto the finals was 407, making this year's Wikicup as competitive as it's always been. Our finalists, ordered by round 4 score, are:
The intense competition between RO and Calvin999 will continue into the finals. They're both eligible for the Newcomers Trophy, given for the first time in the Wikicup; whoever makes the most points will win it.
Good luck to the finalists; the judges are sure that the competition will be fierce!

You previously opposed a merger of the garbage picking article. Well, now someone wants to rename the article "dumpster diving" which I feel is not a good idea as it's not inclusive of the various situations discussed in the article. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Garbage_picking#Requested_move_31_August_2015 He already did the renaming once without any consensus. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Garbage_picking#Garbage_Picking_to_Dumpster_Diving_Move.2Frename_should_be_reverted. I hope you understand why I reverted your edit and not get hurt by it. And, any addition could be challenged if a reliable source is not cited. Which is another reason why I had to remove your content addition. If you need any help in editing feel free to ask on my talk page. Best -- Chamith (talk) 10:04, 2 September 2015 (UTC)

re:"I noticed that you made a change to an article, USB, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed . . ." here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:24.96.210.230
I DID include a reference, a reference to the SAME site, stackexchange, that the defective reference (no url) for the claim pointed to. So if it is legitimate for the claim, it is legitimate for the indication that the claim is disputed. The page I cite (with link INCLUDED, unlike the ref for the claim I'm indicating is disputed) contains additional references. I specifically included that one because it is the SAME site, so to claim one reference is reliable and the other is not is illogical.
I haven't revisited that article and I don't know it this is still relevant. I decided to bring it up because I'm beginning to think there is a problematic general pattern with wikipedia mods to support the status quo rejecting improvements on grounds that apply even more strongly to what the improvements replace.
As if to say "Existing crap is ok. New stuff has to be gold. Crap-replacement must be done with gold. Replacing crap with brass may be an improvement but it can't be allowed because it is contrary to Holy Policy." You might think about passing this observation on. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.96.210.230 (talk) 02:20, 23 September 2015 (UTC)

I undid one of your edits [1] as I think you are reading WP:TVINTL a bit too strictly with respect to what should be in a broadcast section. Originally people put tables of every single foreign broadcast and that was strongly discouraged. Writing the info in prose with emphasis on English language broadcasts was encouraged, presumption being those were noteworthy for an article on the show.
