Hi, I noticed you have a few fair use images (mostly logos) on your subpages User:Chuq/Images and User:Chuq/TV stations. Please note that per Wikipedia:Fair use#Policy the use of fair use images are not allowed outside of articles. An article that you have been involved in editing, List of bands with complete sentence name, has been listed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of bands with complete sentence name. Please look there to see why this is, if you are interested in whether it should be deleted. Thank you. --SkerHawx 01:50, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
Can we change Australia national football (soccer) team to Australia national soccer team. I just don't like the title and how it looks. Kingjeff 06:42, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
Hazzard
Hi! I'm pretty new to Wikipedia. I created an article about a band called Hazzard. It received a speedy delete tag and was deleted by NawlinWiki, because I had failed to claim notability. I recreated the article, although perhaps I could have asked NawlinWiki to restore it. This time, I argued notability in the discussion page, and the notability should be apparent from the text as well.
Now I've noticed that it has been deleted once more. However, I don't recognize the first line of the article as I wrote it in the delete log. And I see that an article of the same name has been deleted before. Could it be that someone has changed the entire content of my article for some self-promoting purpose? I'd be grateful if you could check if the previous version of the article was fit to remain on Wikipedia. Please consult Talk:Hazzard.Odd M. Nilsen 20:03, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
Reminder: I would be grateful if you could reply to me, please. Keep in mind that my article had nothing to do with previous articles with the same title. Yours, --Odd M. Nilsen 10:50, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
Thank you for reply & assistance.--Odd M. Nilsen 11:30, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for the information. The problem was not that the people were not at all notable, but that the articles were probably copyright violations and were written like advertisement copy, which is a speedy deletion criterion, and that the user's only edits were adding bios of people related to this one radio show. The user also did not respond to requests to stop, and repeatedly re-posted the same articles. I don't have a problem if you want to re-create the articles in proper wiki-style. Thanks, Mak (talk) 04:49, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
Can you please restore this talk page which was deleted under WP:CSD#G8 (talk pages of pages that do not exist). I made a comment there. Thanks! --WikiSlasher 12:54, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

P.S. I posted the same message on User_talk:Wavy_G for more opinions. Look forward to hearing from you...
I greatly appreciate you opinions and value your perspectives. Your vantage point enables me to better conceptualize Wikipedia’s purpose. I will watch this site in the future to determine if it becomes more notable, however I won’t lose any sleep if it is not included in that particular article. However, I did find it to be quite hilarious, yet I understand that humor is not a criterion for adding a link to an article.
Look forward to hearing from you, 69.167.102.181
Thanks for fixing up the link. I'd forgotten that the "otheruses1" template only takes one parameter anyways, automatically appending "(disambiguation)" to the page name. Cheers. --Ckatzchatspy 03:29, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
Well done, was just warning the user when I noticed he had vandalised many other pages. Was just about to get an admin when you blocked him. Good job. I was a bit miffed as I had just been reverting his edits to Wikipedia for over 10 minutes (since I'm no admin...) Good job... :) Spawn Man 06:44, 12 November 2006 (UTC)

Hey Chuq The reason I added the See Also links is because on other governing bodies articles with Football Federation in their name, They all have See Also catorgries on there pages. FFT was the only one without See Also so thought i would add it.
Should we add See Also to FFT or remove See Also from other governing body articles? Thanks Boltonfan22 09:45, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
Hi there, I started to go through and fix some Frasier eps and noticed you had beaten me to some of them. How far did you get? .. just so I don't double up on looking for title to fix! -- Chuq 08:39, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
I meant to write you about this earlier... I'm very confused about your actions concerning this page. It was speedily deleted several times before, quite justifiably. Then you speedily deleted it, restored it and restored previous versions. I don't know why you restored it after deleting it yourself, and you should be careful when restoring previous deleted versions of a page; in this case, previous deleted versions were about a different subject altogether, so restoring almost the whole history doesn't make sense here. Do you want me to AfD it? I can almost guarantee it won't survive. You've been an admin far longer than me but I'm a little puzzled about this. Grandmasterka 07:05, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
Hi. Sorry to bother you. You participated in a television episode article naming poll which now lives at this location. Some feel that wording changes have compromised the results of that poll. If you don't mind, could you please take a look at what is there now and add a quick note at WT:TV-NC#Looking for anyone who objects to the last poll to say whether your feelings on the matter remain the same? Of course you can feel free to read over the entirety of both links for more information. Thanks. —Wknight94 (talk) 02:16, 15 November 2006 (UTC)
The last couple of reversions of today are taking current enviornmental issues out of a series of arts - I notice there appears to be no attempt at dialogue with the perpretrator - does this mean they've ogone on before or you simply are not interested in channelling the perpatrator into some other means of expression? I am not questioning the action on your part - they are unnaceptable, fair enough (or they could be explained to be ,made another way perhaps) - just curious. Would be interested in a response SatuSuro 08:44, 16 November 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for your work with the daylight saving timezones map of Australia (here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Australia-Timezones-Daylight.png). Wondering if you're able to update this to show WA as +9 based on the Daylight Saving legislation that came into effect here today?

Hi Charles. As someone who’s helped combat the persistent vandalism of Avram over a long period of time, I’m wondering if you can help out with an instance of longterm sockpuppet abuse, vandalism, trolling and general disruptive behaviour on a similar article.
Harvardy is a sockpuppet account that was created earlier this year with the apparent sole purpose of stalking my edits to Empire of Atlantium. The account has made a total of 74 edits since being created. Its second edit was a vote to delete the article. 18 other edits consist of reversions to the article. At least 20 other edits constitute attempts to delete content about Atlantium from micronations or harassment directed at me via various talk pages.
As the edit history clearly demonstrates, the person behind the Harvardy sock has been fully conversant with me, my contributions and Wikipedia policies and processes from day one, and created the account as a deliberate source of disruption to the project.
After a period of inactivity Harvardy recently reappeared and is continuing recurring vandalism and edit-stalking of Empire of Atlantium. The vandalism comprises wholesale reversion of fully-referenced edits, using false edit summaries, as well as low-level trolling on the article talk page.
Harvardy has also set up other sockpuppets and edited using anonymous IPs to evade the 3RR and continue vandalizing the article. His socks Crooked_allele and Enenkian have both been blocked indefinitely as a result of this.
The general pattern of behaviour, edit summary wording and obsessive vandalism of Empire of Atlantium engaged in by Harvardy is identical to that of the hard-banned editor Wik / Gzornenplatz. The latter obsessively vandalized the Atlantium article and edit-stalked me for several years - exactly as Harvardy is doing now - before being banned by Jimbo.
I’d like to ask if you wouldn’t mind looking into this, and if you agree with my assessment either permanently block Harvardy, or put the article on your watch list so his vandalism can be rolled-back whenever it occurs.
I'm happy to discuss this by email or phone if you think it appropriate. --Gene_poole 04:49, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
If you would look, I have only edited it where it is refered to locally (Asia still is refered to as football and in the worldwide). But the national soccer team has been redirected to national football (soccer) tem and soccer reffered to in australia-wide on wikipedia is referred to as football (soccer). Therefore these must fall inline with the wikipedia agreed term. Thank you. 58.168.213.99 09:52, 23 November 2006 (UTC)

Hi John, I ran across your grid of user warning templates a couple of days ago. Today, I heard about WikiProject user warnings which is a plan to centralise and standarise warning templates for all of Wikipedia. A request for mediation has been filed with the Mediation Committee that lists you as a party. The Mediation Committee requires that all parties listed in a mediation must be notified of the mediation. Please review the request at Wikipedia:Requests for mediation/Wikipedia:Naming conventions (television), and indicate whether you agree or refuse to mediate. If you are unfamiliar with mediation, please refer to Wikipedia:Mediation. There are only seven days for everyone to agree, so please check as soon as possible. —Josiah Rowe (talk • contribs) 05:45, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
Hi Chuq,
Their views and opinions are equally not being positively recieved and on the rugby league football templates, considered vandalism. Please refer this problem to a non soccer guru instead of sticking up for blatently POV soccer people when you are an aggressive soccer POVer yourself. Meant in the most sincere spirit. User Missmitten is obviously new to editing Wiki; their last revision didn't read like a tourist brochure to me, but, maybe I don't read enough of them to recognize the style. I'll leave that up to you!

Chuq, what is the correct name/spelling of the body of water under the Sorell Causeway? Sorell, Tasmania links to Pitt Water (red link). Coal River Valley links to Pittwater, which is an article about somewhere near Sydney. Sorell Causeway say "Pittwater" without a link. --Scott Davis Talk 08:17, 2 December 2006 (UTC)
Agree with need for smaller text. Do you think any other fields merit smaller size? (My eyes are stuck firmly on the fed/state electorate and LGA ones but I think this might be controversial :)) Orderinchaos78 02:14, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
Hi Chuq I'm not sure what to do here and I thought you may be able to help. After the problems and banning of user:147.10.112.157, today a new user appeared user:Tenuous walker. This user has madea total of 2 edits in one day, and managed to call me a "soccer vandal" and a "Troll". This user went on the revert Template:Rugby_League_Playing_Nations_links. From the language used and the edits I supect this is 147.10.112.157 avioding a ban. How do I get an admin to look into this? Thanks Tancred 19:37, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
He appears in a list of mayors of Hobart here [2]. I'm populating the category: Mayors by City that had been in the unpopulated categories list until I took it on. I'm working through the lists of mayors to make sure that the categories are complete using other information in WP. If that doesn't appear in his article, maybe you can add that. Thanks for asking! CRKingston 04:42, 4 December 2006 (UTC)
The only reason I have not sent you a vandal warning is because you are an administrater and know what you are doing. Your edits [3] are outrageous for their pettiness. Please do not refer to me as a banned user, I have been trying to mount a defence elsewhere for that. And never.. never remove a mention to rugby league football because it is boring stuff like that and accusations(though kindly put) that I am a sockpuppet that makes me want to just not edit. --Rugby 666 12:49, 8 December 2006 (UTC)

Can you cast your eye at User talk:Orderinchaos78/Temp For Deletion (a reformulation of Gwelup, Western Australia#Politics) and let me know any thoughts you have on it - thanks :) (Any suggestions on improving the version on TFD is welcome)
It's all based on the Template:Australian Politics Suburb I've been working on to replace the odd manual boxes we've been seeing on some articles. Both of the above articles, btw, use the same template but in different modes. Orderinchaos78 00:39, 15 December 2006 (UTC)
Have you seen the New Zealand tag/box thing (what is the correct name for them?) at the end of the New Zealand article? What about having one of those for Tasmania, so all the loose links to other related articles can be tidied up? Knobbly 05:53, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
If you are around - could you look at the national park thingy... there appears to be no communication between the two editors and only a summary - I think there is a need for some forum/discussion on this sort of category creation and change - rather than what is happening so far... Hi Chuq. You deleted my changes to the rage (TV program) page. I really don't think this was reasonable. The problem was that I added a link to some software I wrote. The software however could not be more relevant to the subject matter. Furthermore you deleted all my changes, including the fact that rage puts their playlists up online each week (something I thought was sorely missing). Why delete useful information? The guidelines say "Do not simply revert changes in a dispute". Back to the software link, wikipedia is not and should not be free of links to software, commercial or otherwise. That would make some wiki pages more or less useless. First example I thought of was Computer-generated imagery, which could be explained without reference to commercial software, but would be sorely lacking without it (in fact, that page is surprisingly short and only refers to Maya, so it is sorely lacking!). Would you go about deleting all such links? I linked to software that is directly relevant to the subject matter, and my new section contained other important information which was independent of that link. Please restore my changes, or explain how anything I added was not directly relevant to the topic. Thanks, Rob.
