Apologies

Sorry for the revert on Cuban sandwich; there was a lot of negative activity on the page over the past couple of days and I lost track of which edits needed to be cleaned up. Zeng8r (talk) 13:57, 5 January 2024 (UTC)

No problem, I appreciate your efforts too. – 64andtim (talk) 19:42, 5 January 2024 (UTC)

Question from Seltorop (09:43, 8 January 2024)

Hello, I wrot an article last week and it was deleted because of its looks like a marketing article about portless. How can I re-write or post again with different content ? --Seltorop (talk) 09:43, 8 January 2024 (UTC)

Chin Tiki

I added the following to the Chin Tiki article: "In 1975, a gay bar, complete with D.J., called "Top of the Tiki" briefly existed on the top floor of the building." How do I know? I went there. I knew the DJ. It opened and closed in 1975. That's not good enough evidence? 216.252.210.83 (talk) 07:48, 9 January 2024 (UTC)

Hello, and welcome. I've reverted your edit because it was unsourced. Reliable sources are required to add with the content (to make sure it's both verifiable and can support the material), and if there is no citation for the content you decide to add, then it shouldn't be added to the article in question. Thanks. – 64andtim (talk) 07:55, 9 January 2024 (UTC)

Hi 64

you have quite some threat there. Are you hounded by vandals all the time? 2402:E280:3D6A:593:AC0C:F488:AF0B:EF04 (talk) 09:39, 10 January 2024 (UTC)

Actually, it's not necessary to ask "who is adakiko?" on their talk page. And yes, for the last question, the answer is sometimes. – 64andtim (talk) 09:58, 10 January 2024 (UTC)

Question from Atluox (00:36, 13 January 2024)

Hi -- been a while since last edit.

Trying to create articles in English for young Luxembourgish politicians, any templates I should follow?

Many don't have links at all.

Liz Braz, Christos Floros, Jana Degrott, Fabricio Costa, Jessie Thill, Amar Armani (in case you want to check it out) --Atluox (talk) 00:36, 13 January 2024 (UTC)

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! You can use the ((Infobox politician)) template for your drafts, and it looks like you have a draft currently active, Draft:Christos Floros. However, it probably has the possibility to be declined, but don't worry or overreact if it was declined by an articles for creation (AfC) reviewer; you may continue to improve the draft (adding adequate and reliable sources, following a neutral point of view, etc.) until it is ready to become published in the mainspace. Thanks! – 64andtim (talk) 06:28, 13 January 2024 (UTC)

Question from Marshyg (05:50, 13 January 2024)

How does protection of wiki page works? Wanted to semi-protect a page but don't know how. --Marshyg (talk) 05:50, 13 January 2024 (UTC)

Hello, and welcome! Unfortunately, users who are not an administrator (sysop) cannot semi-protect pages. Page protection is used to prevent vandalism, disruptive editing, edit wars, and others. Hope that helps, and thanks. 64andtim (talk) 06:24, 13 January 2024 (UTC)
Is there a way we can request them to protect a page? Marshyg (talk) 11:03, 13 January 2024 (UTC)
Go to Wikipedia:Requests for page protection, and when you see "Request protection of a page, or increasing the protection level", click on the blue button below that, and insert the page you want to be protected and the reason for protection (such as persistent vandalism or disruptive editing, and other reasons). Thank you. 64andtim (talk) 11:22, 13 January 2024 (UTC)

Trying to Edir

Hello - Trying to edit this page -- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Willy_Bogner_Sr. - but you flagged me. Not sure what I did wrong. I wanted to add, "Willy Bogner, Sr. was a Nazi and an SS officer." Here is the reference: Österreichs Skisport im National-Sozialismus: Anpassung-Verfolgung-Kollaboration, by Andreas Praher, Ph.D. Dr. Praher is a postdoctoral researcher in history at the Paris Lodron University of Salzburg. 85.59.9.210 (talk) 12:24, 17 January 2024 (UTC)

Hello, I have undone the edit because appears to be unsourced. If there are no reliable sources that support the claim, then the content should not be added to the article in question. – 64andtim (talk) 12:27, 17 January 2024 (UTC)
Here is the source again : Österreichs Skisport im National-Sozialismus: Anpassung-Verfolgung-Kollaboration, by Andreas Praher, Ph.D. Dr. Praher is a postdoctoral researcher in history at the Paris Lodron University of Salzburg. 85.59.9.210 (talk) 14:27, 17 January 2024 (UTC)
His source seems to be doi:10.1515/9783110724127.
Edit: On page 328, reference 114 specifically. Nobody (talk) 14:30, 17 January 2024 (UTC)
After I have taken a look at Wikipedia:Digital Object Identifier, maybe somebody could take it to the talk page for consensus. As for the IP address, apologies if I have mistaken your edit as "non-constructive" after it appeared to be in good faith, and this will not happen again. – 64andtim (talk) 14:59, 17 January 2024 (UTC)
I'll ask someone from the Nazi affiliation task force if they think it should be added. Nobody (talk) 15:11, 17 January 2024 (UTC)
Hello - Please let me know the status of this. Thanks. 85.59.9.210 (talk) 16:28, 31 January 2024 (UTC)
This article uses the reference I provided to substantiate the claim that Willy Bogner St was a Nazi and SS Officer: https://www.skiinghistory.org/article/skiing-nazi-austria 85.59.9.210 (talk) 16:32, 31 January 2024 (UTC)
It has been added in this edit. Nobody (talk) 16:43, 31 January 2024 (UTC)

Saxon greetings ?

Hello, reverter. What do you think "Saxon greetings" really means ? I really want to know, as I'm very interested in all kinds of gymnastics. You seem to be an expert. Please inform us all, bring yourself in, thanx. Article you reverted seems dubious so far, to say the least. --2001:A61:5DD:D01:D4BF:FC55:3DC:124 (talk) 18:05, 22 January 2024 (UTC)

Per this diff, I have reverted it because it didn't appear to be an improvement. Vandalism, disruptive editing, and other types of non-constructive edits are not allowed on Wikipedia, and may result in being blocked from editing. Thanks. – 64andtim (talk) 20:17, 22 January 2024 (UTC)

Congratulations!🥳

Question from Cryptojaguar (06:07, 3 February 2024)

Hi, I joined to help find citations where they are missing. I found a citation from CERN for thyristor-controlled reactors (TCR) but Wikipedia won’t let me publish and instead feeding me different captchas (that won’t let me pass even after I finish). What should I do? --Cryptojaguar (talk) 06:07, 3 February 2024 (UTC)

Question from Nottingham1964 on Caro Crawford Brown (05:16, 3 March 2024)

Hi, this is my grandmother and I would like to have a photo of her on her page, but can’t figure out how to do it! Many thanks! --Nottingham1964 (talk) 05:16, 3 March 2024 (UTC)

Hello, and welcome! There is the file upload wizard, and there are two options when uploading a file: "Upload your own or a freely licensed file" uploads to Wikimedia Commons, while "Upload a non-free file" uploads locally to this wiki; the atter must comply with the non-free content criteria; I would recommend using the first option. Thank you. Codename Noreste 🤔 talk 16:10, 4 March 2024 (UTC)
