((help me)) I've worked quite a lot on this entry and think it's ready to be posted on the main content of Wikipedia, but would appreciate someone reviewing it, and how exactly do I move it from my userpage to the main text of Wikipedia? Also, I've tried to add a link to "Developmental Psychobiology", the appropriate major category, but have I done this right? • The delay was because your first "help me" was enclosed within "nowiki" tags. This meant that no-one saw it!
• To judge by your user name, you seem to be writing an article about yourself and your own research. Please read WP:AUTOBIOGRAPHY before taking this any further.
• I have fixed the "draft article" header at User:Myronhofer so that you can see and use the two "guidance" links there.

Thanks for your email from MediaWiki Mail on july 25th as well as the above help. Now that I am back from vacation, I have been able to get back to this.

I am aware of the advice given in WP:AUTOBIOGRAPHY and actually this draft entry did not originate from me, but was prepared at the request of my department administrators at Columbia, as one of a few selected senior faculty chosen for this. The draft was prepared by Elizabeth Saenger, assistant to Dr.David Hellerstein, Deputy Director, and myself as a joint effort.

As suggested, I have added a brief section on "Early Life and Family" , made a few minor edits, and now think it is ready to be moved to the Wiki 'Mainspace', pending your approval and advice as to how best to make this move (eg. simply follow the directions in "Article Wizard/Ready for submission" ?).

I don't think the article is quite ready to be moved to the mainspace. My main concern is that the article doesn't have enough wikilinks. Adding wikilinks to the article links it to other articles, and makes it more readable. To add a wikilink to Albert Einstein, for example, you would type [[Albert Einstein]]. It depends how well-known it is. Well-known professions such as "artist", "lawyer" or "dentist" should generally not be linked, but linking to institutions and Universities is generally acceptable, even Harvard and MIT. Samwb123^T-C-E 20:01, 30 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

((help me)) Finally the linking is done. On reading Wiki's posted advice for 'External Links' and 'Further reading' sections, I think I should omit these since the linking I did in the text seems to cover the necessary external links. Do you agree? Now I'm going to do some final(?) checking, and review....Ready for mainspace? If so, how do I do it? - There's a highlighted 'move' at the top of the userpage - just click on it and follow directions? Somewhere (it varies with the skin you use) there will be a "Move" tab/link - just click and it will allow you to put a new name and a summary - full explanation is at WP:MOVE. You might want to consider WP:RFF first, but that's your choice.  Ronhjones  ^(Talk) 20:20, 2 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I followed Ronhjones suggestion, above, to make a Request for Feedback. This I did on Oct 24, after having the draft entry reviewed by two colleagues, making a number of changes and, on advice from various Wiki sites, changed my WIKI name to Curiouscientist. I haven't seen any feedback on the 'Request for Feedback' page, or on this 'Talk' page since 11/24. So now I'm wondering if I'm somehow missing the feedback, or made a mistake entering the request?? Hello. A few times now you have changed a combined citation back to a duplicate reference. I am guessing you don't understand the code which is why you keep undoing it. When you have a citation used more than once you don't cite it twice with two separate entries, Instead, you give it a name the first time you use it, i.e., instead of <ref>citation text</ref> you give a name <ref name="name">citation text</ref>, The next time you use that same citation, you simply use the name with an ending slash: <ref name="name /> Take a look at what the code does here. See the "a" and "b"? That's the two different places that citation now attaches to. ((help)) thank you very much with my duplicate citation. it looks fine now except that the last ref, 49, is now at the head of another column to the right of the existing column. (e/c) That's just a function of your screen size and the text size you are using. Hit ctrl++ a few times and then ctrl+- to increase and lower the size of the font display and you should see the references columns are fluid, shifting to accommodate whatever the viewer's screen size is.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 19:32, 26 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
