Welcome to Wikipedia, Marylanderz! I'm White Shadows, and I've been editing Wikipedia for a while. I'm here to say hi. If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or by typing ((helpme)) at the bottom of this page. I love to help new users, so don't be afraid to leave a message! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that I'm supposed to recommend to you:
It's a bit like giving you an instruction manual (and who reads the manual), so just ask me if you get stuck with anything. (of if you want those pages in a nutshell) I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Oh yeah, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. If you need help, see Wikipedia:Questions, or ask me on my talk page.
And in case your wondering, I am a real person, and this isn't an automated process.--Coldplay Expért Let's talk 00:58, 9 February 2010 (UTC)
I've reviewed your article on Clara Campoamor at T:DYK, and all appears good. Not many new editors create such good content so soon after starting to edit Wikipedia; great job! I have one question — don't worry, because the answer to this question doesn't matter for Did You Know; I'm just curious — how did you get access to the book about American Unitarians? It's not available for me to view right now; do you have a printed copy of the book, or was it working online when you used it? Nyttend (talk) 01:45, 14 February 2010 (UTC)

Congratulations on helping expand this article to DYK. Good luck in your effort to bring it to GA. Remember to thank all of the other users who assisted in getting this article to DYK. Chris (talk) 14:12, 17 February 2010 (UTC)
I've added a new (and I think better) hook. Template_talk:Did_you_know#Mo_Tae-Bum Regards, NativeForeigner Talk/Contribs 01:06, 17 February 2010 (UTC)

Sorry I haven't replied earlier - I was really busy for a couple of days (launching a book of mine) and then we had very little power for a couple more days (we have only got solar electricity here - with no backup) - so I didn't find your note on my Talk Page until this morning and now, apparently, it is too late. Oh well, there will always be another chance. Thank you so much for trying. Sincerely, John Hill (talk) 03:31, 23 February 2010 (UTC)

Thank you so much for your contributions to the "Did you know?" section of the main page. I appreciate your work to feature your own creations and the creations of others, however, the list page WP:DYKLIST will show your name after you reach 25 DYK creations and expansions or after 25 DYK nominations of other peoples' articles, not after 25 of the two types combined. Looking forward to seeing you on that page in the future! Binksternet (talk) 22:34, 27 February 2010 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
