Hello Mattlore. I am not too sure why you reverted my edit for Sonny Bill Williams. To give you the background to the edit, I was the one who initially added the NRL speculation sentence. However, once I read that SBW himself denied the speculation I deleted it since it is untrue. Thanks.Suid-Afrikaanse (talk) 05:08, 5 January 2012 (UTC)

Hi. When you recently edited Gael Tallec, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page French (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

FYI... You have been adding new rugby players with the wrong date format in PERSONDATA.
For example, in Dave Boughton, you had ((birth date and age|1970|2|27|df=y)) for DATE OF BIRTH. It should be 27 February 1970.
From WP:Persondata: "Do not use templates within these fields, as they can interfere with data extraction. Abraham Lincoln's birthday, for example, should be listed as February 12, 1809 and not as ((birth date|1809|2|12|mf=y))." Bgwhite (talk) 07:10, 13 January 2012 (UTC)

I think it would save us a lot of effort if we worked out a general principle on this. See Wikipedia talk:Categories for discussion#On the categorization of biographies by (perhaps) incidental occupation. Mangoe (talk) 19:50, 7 March 2012 (UTC)
Schwede66 suggested I pass this to you to take a look at - I don't know a lot about Women's rugby but wondered if it would be better to have a title "2011 Women's International Rugby Tests" (I presume there is one called '2011 start of year' or similar that could be amalgamated)?. Whoever created it must have done a lot of work to get all those stats - I take my hat off to them. NealeFamily (talk) 19:18, 13 March 2012 (UTC)NealeFamily (talk) 07:19, 13 March 2012 (UTC)

Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Dispute resolution noticeboard regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. The thread is "Comparison of rugby league and rugby union". Thank you.. I know you have not been involved since your first comment so I did not note you as a major participant. I only mention it here since you were briefly included in the report. --AIRcorn (talk) 06:43, 30 May 2012 (UTC)
I began an article on Trevor Hall (rugby league) that could benefit from your know-how. Best Regards. 07:39, 27 June 2012 (UTC)
Hi Mattlore, I see that Derek Arnold hasn't got a page yet (All Black # 639). This would certainly be an interesting aspect of his bio. Schwede66 00:17, 28 June 2012 (UTC)
I began an article on Gary Henley-Smith that once again could benefit from your know-how. Best Regards. DynamoDegsy (talk) 15:30, 4 July 2012 (UTC)
Could you please have a look at the Albert House and Paddy George articles. Also, on Past Kiwis → G at nzrl.co.nz and Past Kiwis → H at nzrl.co.nz, etc. what does, e.g. 1913 (n1) mean? Best Regards. DynamoDegsy (talk) 10:00, 24 July 2012 (UTC)
I have a sneaking suspicion that rugbyleagueproject sometimes has its forward pack the wrong way around, ie listing the lock at 8, hooker at 12 etc. I can't prove it, but that would explain some of the forwards who have played every position in the pack. Then again maybe it was just a sign of the times with the contested scrums. Not sure about the bench, good point. I would go for nzleague.co.nz's position as their main one, while rugbyleagueproject attempts to list every position they've ever played. Mattlore (talk) 08:37, 3 August 2012 (UTC)
In addition to Charles James, Pat Hannigan, Bert Feary, and Dave Mason, the List of New Zealand Kiwis representatives article also mentions two more Nelson players, i.e. Conrad Byrne and William Mackrell, though these players are not mentioned in Tasman rugby league team article. However, William Mackrel's nzrl.co.nz reference states Nelson, but his nzleague.co.nz reference doesn't state Nelson, it states Auckland. Any thoughts? Best Regards. You have redirected Turkish participation in 2012 Olympics to another page. After searching the target page, I agree. But wouldn't it be more polite if you have warned me before redirecting ? Cheers. Nedim Ardoğa (talk) 13:49, 3 August 2012 (UTC)
should be fixed now. I will work on tweaking the margins a bit in a second. Frietjes (talk) 20:52, 6 August 2012 (UTC)

Mattlore, Regarding Patrick being of Chinese descent, I am currently trying to get a list of Chinese eligible players and here is my email from Widnes. They stated his grandfather is Chinese I dont know if this is enough info. Youndbuckerz (talk) 04:02, 27 September 2012 (UTC)
so would I still need a source to add him to New Zealand people of Chinese descent can I just add his grandfather is Chinese and put citation needed? Youndbuckerz (talk) 06:55, 27 September 2012 (UTC)
Kia ora, Mattlore. I'd never heard his name up until now. Looking into the sources, a great worker for the working man's game. Hope we don't get too many WP:EDITCONFLICTs editing the article. --Shirt58 (talk) 09:08, 15 October 2012 (UTC)
