Can you work on the intro to List of Delta Sigma Theta chapters while you're at it? It's very non-standard, and the about hatnote at the top of the article is redundant. —C.Fred(talk) 19:17, 2 May 2011 (UTC)
Under normal circumstances I would say the lists should be split since they are so huge, but I'm sure DST Headquarters would want all chapters to remain on one list.184.60.10.45 (talk) 01:10, 22 December 2012 (UTC)Immigratty (talk) 01:11, 22 December 2012 (UTC)
Could you please move the run materials out of Oblation article? Thanks, Racepacket (talk) 09:27, 4 May 2011 (UTC)
Thanx. I can find out. I actually know the exact date deep in the recesses of my brain, but can't manage to pull it out [that's what more than ten years will do to memory :-(} we do call our national meetings "conventions" we are the only of the nphc Sororities to do so. All three of the others call them "Boule." I've made some significant changes [even since yesterday, when I said all new changes would be minor] but I was determined to have a complete listing of chapters. However, I am quickly realizing that many of the chapters that were unavailable were former alumnae chapters that were never reassigned to undergraduate institutions. so there are several "Alphas" and "Betas" that no longer exist. :-( —Preceding unsigned comment added byImmigratty (talk • contribs) 21:11, 4 May 2011 (UTC)
ok, added the exact time it was changed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Immigratty (talk •contribs) 21:22, 4 May 2011 (UTC)
Funny you ask about Chapters, as I made a list [below]. And the chapter you're talking about [ten years later than others in the area] is most likely Sigma Chapter at Clark Atlanta University, but they were the originally designated Chapters. However, they initially included Spelman, Clark, Morris Brown, Atlanta University, and generally all grad and undergrads in Atlanta, however in 1931 they were chartered specifically on the campus of Clark Atlanta University. For some reason, they use the 1931 date, instead of the original 1921 date, which is weird, because I was made at Mighty TAU Chapter, and the same thing happened, we were initially grad and undergrad, and May 13, 1939, we were chartered specifically to the Campus of Wayne State University, however, we use the 1924 date, as most chapters do, since our school was actually included on the original charter, and it wasn't a reassign like Eta and Theta where we were not originally a part. Not sure why they do it, but that's what they do. And thanx, you're giving me much encouragement to keep making it better. this is my first wikipedia page, and I'm super excited, I wanted to have one comprehensive list of all chapters, so I figured why sit around and wait when I could just do it myself! Thanx for all of your help. So anyway, here is a list of the missing chapters:
Alpha Psi Eta Mu Pi Rho Beta Xi Nu Xi Rho Sigma Beta Omega Nu Pi Sigma Kappa Delta Sigma Xi Mu Sigma Sigma Epsilon Lambda Xi Sigma Tau Xi Epsilon Sigma Omicron Sigma

the list I have, is a list I received from someone else, who received it from HQ, so there's not really anything I can cite. Dissolved = retired, but we say "retired." And yes "mixed" means grad and undergrad, which was ceased in the 1930's. I'll be sure to look over everything. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Immigratty(talk • contribs) 21:18, 5 May 2011 (UTC)
eventually graduate chapters did end in the letter Sigma, however, for a period of time, they were assigned greek letters that did not end in SIgma. for instance, New York Alumnae Chapter was once Alpha Alpha, DC Alumnae Chapter was Beta Beta, Denver was Beta Phi, etc. I'm not concerned about the triple letter chapters, since there are no triple letter chapters, even still to date, those will not conflict, I'm more concerned about the chapters that had "typical" undergrad nomenclature that were never reassigned.

I really don't want to change the way the list is. I like the division based on letter it starts with, I don't want to make it one large list, it would be too much. I would also prefer to keep the chapters combined, but if you would like to split the graduate chapters, that would be fine as well. I'm not quite sure I understand what you're saying about the graduate chapters. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Immigratty (talk • contribs) 01:48, 10 May 2011 (UTC)
I like how the alumnae chapters are currently formatted [first option] where it's the chapter and the location.

Good afternoon, thanx for the update. The only thing I can think of right now is attempting to find out info for the "missing" chapters and the chartering dates. thanx so much for all of your assistance. and the list of Alpha Phi Alpha conventions looks great

I am contacting you because of your edit here.
Please take a look at my edithere. The purpose is to make the blue area of the table narrower. In other words, the objective is to expand the width of the area in which the Japanese era names are listed. What do you think?
Please construe "Momoyama period" as an historical equivalent of Azuchi-Momoyama period in this limited context. For example, please compare image of 1927 monograph title page here. See also, Bardwell L. Smith. (1987). "Japanese Society and Culture in the Momoyama Era: a Bibliographic Essay," in Warlords, Artists, & Commoners: Japan in the Sixteenth Century, p. 245, p. 245, at Google Books; excerpt (at bottom of page),
Having invested some time in reviewing this table's format, may I ask you to also take a look at the similar format of Template:Japan Old Province? Do you have constructive criticism? --Tenmei (talk) 20:17, 7 July 2011 (UTC)
Thank you for mentioning the order of the regions and the order of the provinces. The basis for the sequencing was established in the 8th century -- if you're interested, see Gokishichidō. I didn't notice something which is taken for granted. I didn't imagine an alternative until your words tweaked my perspective. You see questions I didn't think to ask.
Perhaps in our English environment, alphabetic order would be more readily accessible to all? I will investigate consensus opinions here at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Japan. --Tenmei (talk) 04:15, 8 July 2011 (UTC)
Thank you again for the comments which provoked the discussion which unfolded here. --Tenmei (talk) 15:19, 9 July 2011 (UTC)
Finally a friendly face on my talk page! I don't get this at all, but after 4 edits I, a new user, start getting attacked with inconsistent acts and statements. See my talk page, and 5 albert square, and Nesnema's. Can you explain this contradictory behavior? Makes no sense to me. PumpkinSky (talk) 01:42, 8 July 2011 (UTC)
Hi. A notice keeps appearing at the top of my watchlist about admins a burecucrats. Can you tell me more about this? How does one become an admin or bureacrat. I know some of what an admin does but not what a bureaucrat does. PumpkinSky talk 11:00, 12 July 2011 (UTC)
Thanks Narath
I will give it a try

Hello! From List of fraternities and sororities in the Philippines, may I suggest you to use CSS style instead? Such as, to set a 100 pixels width on a column
{| class="wikitable sortable" ! style="width: 100px;" | Greek Name<!-- Table Header line, do *not* add information here--> |- | test |}
will produce
Greek Name |
---|
test |
For more information, see Help:Tables on MediaWiki. Thanks :) --Korrawit (talk) 05:46, 16 July 2011 (UTC)

Hi Naraht, I am just wondering if you can take a look at Minorities of Greece page and assess the revert done by User:Jingiby [1], whereby significant portions of sourced information (which aligns with WP:RS, and WP:NEWSORG) was deleted, claiming POV, despite the fact that the information was simply facts of actual occurances. Many thanks Lunch for Two (talk) 14:34, 22 July 2011 (UTC)

HI, I amMichael Parks, the college student working on the Bert Oliva page...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Michaelparks/Bert_Oliva
I need some help with getting it out there... someone from the old article posted pictures from different newspapers and magazines(now I'm glad i copied everything from the original article). I was wondering if I can use those? Newspapers like the Miami Herald and business magazines are all reliable sources, so i went to each link that was posted and downloaded each picture... what can i do with this? How do i show this as evidence? Also one wikipedia mediator or something a said that it would be okay if i just had the name of the media(Miami Herlad/Biz Bash/etc.) and date that that would be an exception to not having the actual article accessible on the internet. Also! I checked out some of his videos and you can see him on NBC, CBS, CNN and other big names. I understand if someone just told me this stuff but i saw in the videos facts that he has been on these shows and tv channels. Basically i have 2 mediums of facts that I'm not sure how to get them right for you to exept them, but there are existent and van be found! :) Thanks for all the help!
--Michaelparks (talk) 17:56, 3 October 2011 (UTC)
---Ah okay, well on some wikipedia pages i see some pictures included throughout the article... maybe thats where a few of these pictures can go? Maybe just 1 0r 2 under media i guess(images of newspaper articles). However do i have to upload them to wikipedia commons or are they already public domain since they are public publications?
And as for the videos I would say its facts & Notability... I found a video where he is interviewed by Kelly Craig from NBC and teaches some body language. That would be both F & N. I found one where i think it was CNN maybe? Where he was talking about Obama during his inauguration(another body language interview). And then over videos with people that when i look up all seem to be big speakers like Les Brown, Marshyll Sylver, Zig Ziglar, Deepak Chopra, Donald Trump(not speaker). So i think that portion would fall under notability maybe?
Well Ive found multiple places that show these so I'm not sure how to convert the information into the article.... thats where i need some help lol, thanks for the assistance! --Michaelparks (talk) 13:24, 4 October 2011 (UTC)
Help! I'm brand new to Wikipedia and I just uploaded a picture onto the Wikipedia page about the Las Vegas Redevelopment Agency. The picture is located at:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:FremontEastDowntownLasVegas.JPG
Shortly thereafter, I received the message below:
This image does not have a copyright tag. Copyright tagging is required in order to provide a consistent way to identify the copyright status of images, and to allow for automated classification of images. This template should be replaced with the appropriate copyright tag. Failure to tag an image may lead to its deletion.

So, what kind of symbol or additional information do they want me to add so the picture isn't deleted? Thank you for your assistance.

I was definitely speaking only for Belgium, so I can't say if the same goes for any other country. Also it was not based on a wikipedia policy, moreover if one exists, then I'm not aware of it. Anyway, on any Belgian news website you will probably find as many references to the "goverment Di Rupo I" (which is the official name) as to the "government Di Rupo" (where the I was probably dropped just out of convenience).
The portal website belgium.be presents the official list of members of the current government [2] (Dutch) and calls it the government "Di Rupo I", although again frequently they refer to the "government Di Rupo". Pelotastalk|contribs 16:57, 7 December 2011 (UTC)
