AfD[edit]

Based on your request to have your user page deleted, am I correct in inferring that you were a bit distressed by the discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Insect Dreams: The Half Life of Gregor Samsa? Take heart! Every Wikipedia newcomer makes mistakes, and notability policy is possibly the most complicated rule on Wikipedia. Perhaps you felt that Insect Dreams was an unworthy successor to Die Verwandlung and nominated it for deletion accordingly (I'm speculating wildly, call me out if I'm wrong). I'm afraid the article is unlikely to be deleted, as notability is based on depth of outside coverage, not necessarily the literary merit of a work. But don't worry about past mistakes. You've done a lot of good work on Wikipedia so far. I would never have known about the Franz Kafka Museum if you hadn't written that article. I hope you won't be too upset by the AfD, and please continue writing about Franz Kafka. If you have questions, stop by my talk page any time. Good luck! I'm also hoping that you don't leave. Maybe my edit summary was too strongly worded and I shouldn't have worded my mention of WP:BEFORE that way. I was just trying to keep a notable article from being deleted and I have been annoyed by actual long time members in AfD who should know these things. You do good work and notability is a learning curve. My intention is not to scare away a new editor. One of my blocks was undone because an admin baited me.
