Your recent edit summaries and comments

Hi SerVasi! I've been asked to talk to you about your recent use of edit summaries and comments, namely with your edits here and here. It's not appropriate to make personal attacks toward other editors with your comments and edit summaries, nor is it acceptable to make uncivil, rude, snark, or chippy edit summaries or comments that may be interpreted to upset or offend others. Your edit removing the unbalanced template from Roger Joseph Boscovich came with an edit summary stating, "the only unbalanced part is that we even alow (sic) serbian mumbojumbo." This was read and interpreted by another editor to be uncivil and possibly even offensive. Your edit summary to your edit to Croats of Serbia stated, "Info is correct. Feel free to add the sources. Maybe your first productive work." The last statement is not appropriate, as it makes a purposeful jab toward another editor as a personal attack. Please take some time to reflect upon these comments you made, and please keep Wikipedia's civility policies and Wikipedia's policy disallowing personal attacks in mind with your comments in the future. There are much better and more appropriate ways to resolve disputes and conflicts with other editors, and we outline them in-depth on Wikipedia's dispute resolution protocol guideline page. Please let me know if you have any questions or if I can help you with any confusion with any of these policies, and I'll be happy to do so. Thank you for taking the time to read and listen to this message and my words, and I hope it helps improve how we edit and interact on Wikipedia. :-) Best regards - ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 00:16, 21 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
