Election news: In our mid-year election, serving coordinators Baffle gab1978, Dhtwiki, Miniapolis, Reidgreg and Tenryuu were returned for another term, and were joined by new coordinator Zippybonzo. No lead coordinator was elected for this half-year. Jonesey95, a long-serving coordinator and lead, was elected as coordinator emeritus; we thank them for their service. Thank you to everyone who took part. Our next election of coordinators takes place throughout December. If you'd like to help out at the GOCE, please consider nominating yourself or other suitable editors (with their permission, of course!). It's your Guild, after all!
Task/s: I'm using Openrefine to edit items related to Wikidata:Wikiproject_Lieder, beginning by adding the new subclass lyrico-musical work (Q114586269) to the actual lieder in WD. I hope to gain some experience before going with further edits.

@Liz thanks for the tag; without it I would not have realized I had set up the template to populate that category incorrectly. It has entries now so I have removed the C1 tag. Thank you! Cheers! TartarTorte 01:44, 18 October 2022 (UTC)

CSD tag removal
General elections in Pakistan are held simultaneously in the four provincial assemblies and the federal assembly on the same day. There is also a page related to General Election 2018 and there are separate pages related to the four Provincial Assemblies which have everything in detail.
So in this case, it is not right at all to create a page by extracting the result of each provincial assembly at the federal level. You can edit it by going to Provincial Assemblies page or General Election page.
So I am restoring the CSD tag of that page and you can give your argument in contest deletion and let the admins decide. Thanks. M.Ashraf333 (talk) 17:43, 1 December 2022 (UTC)
@M.Ashraf333, I disagree they are the same article. There is an article 2018 Pakistani general election, which covers the election for the National Assembly around the entire country and there is the 2018 Punjab provincial election. There is not an article, until now, that covers the specific results of the general election within Punjab, which is what would be required for WP:A10. It also seems that if a CSD tag was removed by someone who wasn't the author of the page, then it's considered to be a contoversial deletion, which should be handled by WP:AfD or another deletion process per WP:CSD. I am going to remove the tag and restore the page to the version it was before. You can open an AfD discussion about it if you want. I think WP:PROD might also be an option? Feel free to ping me if you want further explanation. I can open the AfD discussion for you if you want as well. TartarTorte 18:04, 1 December 2022 (UTC)
Well, if I accept your words for a while, then tell me that there are about 272 constituencies in Pakistan. So in that sense, each constituency will have a separate page. Just like that.
2018 General Election NA-1, 2018 General Election NA-2 and so on.
So this page is unnecessary because you can't get federal assembly result for every constituency or every province that's why a separate main page has been created which is called 2018 General Election.
However, I am not moving it to AfD because the argument you had to give there, you could have given the same argument in CSD without any tag removal.Thank you M.Ashraf333 (talk) 18:29, 1 December 2022 (UTC)
Thanks for the ping. It seems that within the template it would be best to pipe the link Classes of Tantra in Tibetan Buddhism#Kriyā to Kriyayoga. I'll go through the rest with AWB after I change the template. TartarTorte 14:56, 6 December 2022 (UTC)
Update it's all cleaned up. Nothing is currently targeting Kriyayoga from article space. It ended up only being 6 or 7 links to replace. TartarTorte 15:03, 6 December 2022 (UTC)

Do you have a WP:RS for saying it is a simulation? 92.83.241.88 (talk) 21:19, 21 December 2022 (UTC)
Thanks!
Hi, thanks for reading Wikipedia:AfD stats don't measure what you think and for the Thanks notification about it! I feel pretty strongly about that issue, and I really don't like how I constantly see people getting knocked for the incoherent charge of "low AfD stats", so I put a lot of effort into explaining why I think it's wrong. But the essay has a tiny view count, and it's hard to see what to do about that since I don't want to barge into high-stakes discussions where people are being evaluated to promote my own essay :P Anyways, it's just very good to know that at least one person read it! - Astrophobe (talk) 18:44, 28 December 2022 (UTC)
No worries! It captured a lot of thoughts I had about AfD stats as well, so thank you very, very much for having it in essay form! I'm honestly unsure why certain essays have higher views that other ones other than somehow becoming ones that get linked a lot, but how that starts to me is a mystery. I always am fascinated when citing something that I could've sworn was policy, but is just an essay that seemingly everyone (myself included) refers to as if it's policy; however that's a bit of a tangent. Best of luck on it though because it is both a well argued essay and represents a view that is seemingly the minority on wikipedia currently, which is a shame. Cheers! Draft:Bishangarh

Hi, I don't know where the problem is. If I want to create the article, do I have to paste my content into the redirect? Sakiv (talk) 19:40, 19 January 2023 (UTC)
@Sakiv, If you have content for an article you can replace the redirect with an article just by pasting that content into the page. That's allowed. The other process you can do is create Draft:History of Palestine national football team then put ((db-g6)) on History of the Palestine national football team, but honestly you can just boldly replace the redirect with the article content and that will be fine. TartarTorte 19:43, 19 January 2023 (UTC)
No, I want the deletion of this redirect now, because it is not needed in the first place, and it has not been 5 months since it was created. The issue is with who created it though an encyclopedic article could be made from it. Sakiv (talk) 19:46, 19 January 2023 (UTC)
@Sakiv If you want it deleted you can take the redirect to WP:RfD. I personally do not think the redirect is eligible for any of the CSD categories unless there is a draft to be moved there, in which case it can be WP:G6'd. TartarTorte 19:56, 19 January 2023 (UTC)
You can also replace the content of the redirect page with your content. TartarTorte 20:00, 19 January 2023 (UTC)
Thanks for creating the article! Hopefully you will write more!

Hello, TartarTorte
I wonder if you an help me out. I am writing to you because you did some clean-up of that piece. I want to finish that "clean up" but don't quite know how.
I have been engaged through my company, Brand Newsroom, to update the Resy article. I have disclosed this info on my user page and the talk page for the article as well.
I have been told that in order to have the ding removed I must:
"show that all the additions by its creator had been removed and the article revised completely" or "suggest removing the tag by posting the suggestion on the article's Talk page."
I've done the later, but I'm not sure how to go about the former.
What should I be looking at as I go about removing the controversial material? It all looks pretty neutral to me right now.
Many thanks in advance! ManyBellsDown (talk) 19:24, 22 March 2023 (UTC)
@ManyBellsDown, hi! Thanks for reaching out. I believe that there are two text insertions that could be considered WP:UPE those were added by user raffybund, here and by user Mazurkevin, here. It seems that the raffybund contributions have been removed, but that's not entirely the case with the contributions by Mazurkevin. I am not an expert myself in UPE policy, so I'm pinging MER-C who added the ((UPE)) tag in the first place to see what needs to be done to remove it. Best! TartarTorte 19:41, 22 March 2023 (UTC)
Thank you! I'll keep on it. Hope to hear from MER-C. Thanks! 142.255.105.35 (talk) 20:12, 22 March 2023 (UTC)
