The result of the discussion was: Delete. As mentioned in the previous close, what links here on the actual template will generate the list of which articles use the template for those that might occasionally need this. Vegaswikian (talk) 22:28, 10 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Propose deleting Category:Wikipedia articles incorporating text from public domain editions of Gray's Anatomy (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs)
Nominator's rationale: This category places articles about anatomical organs (e.g. Abdominal aortic plexus) in inappropriate categories (e.g. Category:Wikipedia administration and Category:1858 books) which is the sort of anomaly that should be cleared up if we are to get category intersection working (again). It is hard to see how this type of categorization could be useful for navigation and it could lead to an article being in many (albeit hidden) categories. See related discussion Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Log/2014 October 27#Category:Wikipedia articles incorporating text CNX Anatomy & Physiology. DexDor (talk) 21:16, 3 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I also see this as a valid solution, but still not a preferable one in my eyes. SFB 20:40, 5 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: Delete. Vegaswikian (talk) 00:06, 11 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: That a person (e.g. Pat Buchanan or Harry S. Truman) is/was a member of Sons of Confederate Veterans may be a fact appropriate to mention in that person's article, but in most/all cases being a member of the SCV is a WP:NON-DEFINING characteristic (e.g. it wouldn't be appropriate to mention it in the article lead). This sort of category contributes to the huge number of categories that some pages are in. It also means that categories such as Category:Secession crisis of 1860–1861 contain articles about people who weren't born until many years later. DexDor (talk) 21:04, 3 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: Merge. Vegaswikian (talk) 19:25, 10 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: Merge. This appears to violate WP:OVERLAPCAT, in that everything in Category:Climate change denial could be in Category:Climate change skepticism and vice versa (so there isn't just large overlap, but practically complete overlap). In fact many/all of the people in the Category:Climate change skeptics‎ would also fall in the Category:Climate change denial. As the skepticism is less inherently POV, the denial category should be merged into the skepticism category. Obsidi (talk) 19:33, 3 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I can understand your reason (it comes down to how you define "Climate change denial" of which there are multiple different definitions by different people, and depending on how you define it is either WP:OVERLAPCAT or WP:SMALLCAT ). --Obsidi (talk) 01:07, 4 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: Merge to Category:Naval and Maritime Academy graduates. Vegaswikian (talk) 19:24, 10 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: We don't normally break down alumni categories by year of intake. Assuming these people graduated then the appropriate category for them is Category:Naval and Maritime Academy graduates. DexDor (talk) 18:52, 3 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: Rename to Category:Bibliographies of subcultures. Vegaswikian (talk) 19:20, 10 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: Delete. Category far too broad to be meaningful. Star Log, Lfrankblam, Kirk Out (talk) 00:22, 3 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
