  I just cleaned up ~100 categories only parented to Category:Hidden categories and another ~50 which had only Category:Hidden categories and a CatAutoTOC tracking category. There are 19 left:

  1. Category:Top-level domains of government in New Jersey, Category:Articles with unsourced statements from 2021, Category:Articles with a niche SPS section in Further Reading, Category:Upcoming MMA fights and Category:Bird pages with an information box for key measurements are empty or about to become empty, so don't need any action.
  2. I was reverted when adding the appropriate parent category to Category:Wikipedia articles containing unlinked shortened footnotes for unclear reasons.
  3. Category:NIH Women Scientists Project, Category:Articles created or expanded during Women's History Month (India) - 2014 and Category:Articles created or expanded during Women's History Month (India) - 2015, and Category:Kumusha are "Articles by editathon" categories. Is there a parent category for these? I couldn't find it.
  4. The remaining 8 are Category:Comics image categories with Commons galleries, Category:British Isles Discussion, Category:Page reports, Category:Page reports requests, Category:Pages that should not be manually archived, Category:Wikipedia trolled content, and Category:Wikipedia medicine articles ready to translate, and Category:Ulmus articles with images where I could not think of a good parent category for. * Pppery * _{it has begun...} 04:51, 11 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

• Propose renaming Category:Baronies of Fingal to Category:Baronies in Fingal

Nominator's rationale: They are not really "of" Fingal since the baronies were created prior to the creation of Fingal as as county. Rather they are baronies that are located within the bounds of the county (either wholly or partially). For almost every other county of Ireland, a county was sub-divided into a specific number of baronies that were formerly used for local administration. There's no need for the category at all. Baronies were subdivisions of the traditional counties like County Dublin. The administrative county of Fingal was created in 1994 without regard for the earlier baronies, as many of them straddle Fingal's boundary. ~Asarlaí 15:11, 22 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

• Reply As a county of Ireland, Fingal has as much validity for a first-level country sub-division as does County Dublin or County Cork.
