File:Certificate3.png (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by VarunFEB2003 (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

Given his history of uploading copyright violations, and the obvious degree of skill which has gone into this image, I do not believe for an instant that the uploader drew the border himself, as he claims. (Quite aside from anything else, the leaves depicted are those of the Silver Maple, which grows only in eastern North America and seems an unlikely choice for an editor in India.)  ‑ Iridescent 16:01, 10 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

This image was previously nominated for deletion (see Wikipedia:Files for discussion/2016 October 3#File:Certificate3.png), where VarunFEB2003 claimed that the image border was a "fruity border created by my friend for a wedding invitation which I have copied." Given the lies about other images, I am not inclined to believe this claim. -- Whpq (talk) 01:03, 13 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Varun specifically edited the summary to say that the background image was self-created, so he's lying about the attribution somewhere along the line. ‑ Iridescent 08:26, 13 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Album cover. Dubious self-work claim, unlikely that uploader is copyright holder FASTILY 19:52, 2 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the vote of confidence, Fastily, but, "yes," I did indeed create this ( my own draft album cover) on Microsoft Powerpoint, using already copyright-cleared photographs from the photographer whom I'd contracted to photograph that original (2006) recording session. If in doubt, see picture of Buddy Bregman conducting on Wikipedia page, taken at the same time, and accompanying copyright clearance statement. — Preceding unsigned comment added by BerkeleyS1 (talkcontribs) 10:02, 10 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Relisting comment: BerkeleyS1, seems like this may be a derivative work of these photographs. We need evidence that their copyright was cleared. Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk, contributions) 18:57, 10 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

What more evidence?...What do you mean, derivative work?...I've stated repeatedly that I created this album cover / image using photographs I commissioned at my own expense for this one very specific purpose!...My photographer is a personal friend and has long-since emailed Wikipedia (and me) her explicit permission to use these photographs so as to latterly promote the work and memory of Buddy Bregman who is now in his mid 80s and very sick with dementia! OTRS ticket checked and it has absolutely nothing to do with this particular image. Nor for any of the images within it. --Majora (talk) 05:22, 30 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
